Well-written, insightful review! The novel seems interesting and appealing for readers of young adult fiction, though I think I'll pass.

I enjoy sci-fi/fantasy that has a lot of action and a good plot, but YA novels are sometimes written so that only young adults can enjoy them. Sadly, this sounds like one of those. Not having complete closure isn't an issue if it's small plot points, but large plot points are something else--unless it's clear they'll be dealt with in the next novel, of course. :)

It sounds like the author took some interesting liberties with the typical structure of a novel... Not sure this one is for me, but your review was very informative!

Great detailed review! This sounds like a great book for teenagers who enjoy mystery and supernatural elements. Although ambiguous endings can be frustrating I'm sure it only ends that way because it is part of a series. :)

Very nicely written review! The book sounds intriguing. It's nice to know that the characters are believable even though the setting sounds a little confusing.

Thanks for the review! It's sad this book lacks closure but it does sound like a neat little story.

This novel sounds unique! The build up from the exposition appears to be a major selling point. I look forward to sampling it.

This story has all the elements I generally like. Young adult, supernatural, action, and adventure. It takes me awhile to get into unusual narrative styles but the concept of the book seems good. Great review!

The Official review of the The Journey by Shadayah Elizabeth points towards a dystopian story which is packed with action and adventure. The experiences of the girls can be compared to evolution of children into adults. But the author had to work on the solidarity of relationships. It is a must read for young people.

Great review. Normally I don't do YA but this review and the blurb intrigues me. A world set in a dystopian society set with adventure has got me amped to read. Congrats on being BOTD.
