Good job on your review! This sounds like a very interesting book and one I would like to read. I like supernatural books, but I don't like cliff hangar endings, so I think I will wait until more books in the series come out. Thanks for the review ~

I don't think I'd read this book, but I wanted to commend you on a really clear review, especially your comments on the movement and structure of the plot.

Great review! Love the detail. This sounds like quite an intriguing YA fantasy novel, I love all things paranormal and think that this book will be a great addition to my TBR right on top. You really hooked me when you said "A novel chock full of enigma and excitement, discovery and realization". Thanks so much for sharing.

This is a thoughtful and detailed review. Although it doesn't sound like something I'd read, I'm sure fans of this genre will enjoy it.

Felt the review definitely explained the premise of this book. Although I am a senior in my 60s, I like to mix it up and read young adult books. This fantasy of 3 girls and their experiences of being taken by those in power to an uncertain place. I would like to find out what happened to them. Congrats to the author on BOTD.

Great review! I read the sample chapters on Amazon and thought that the story was very interesting. After reading your review and the first few chapters, the three star rating sounds well deserved.

Wow. The review kept surprising me. While reading, I would build this picture or stereotype of the book in my head and the review would always say, "Nope that's not it." It sounds old-timey and fantastical, but it is actually paranormal science fiction. It seems medieval, but it is actually dystopian. Sounds like a lot of action and angst and young adult character building, but it is actually...well all of those but with a larger focus to plot building.
Sounds lik a great book, but not really to my taste right now.

This sounds like a paranormal fantasy that will appeal to many young adults. Your critique made me think of other YA novels I have read. Thanks for the detailed and informative review.

Great review, but based on that and the sample I read, I know it's really not my style of writing.

Thank you for the review, it was a good one, but I'm not really into paranormal stuff, and the sample I read from Amazon seemed a bit slow moving to me.

Wow love the sample of this book "The Journey by Shadahyah Elizabeth" - the author had me fixed to the pages - reading as fast as I could to see what was going to happen next. When the girls were sitting outside the house looking at the moon - I instantly knew there was more to this story. These girls have an uncanny bond which is definitely going to spell trouble and it is up to Rico to keep them safe. Definitely a book worth reading. A page turner. Thank you for sharing :D
Will definitely be reading this book in full!!

This is a really good review! i like anything with a supernatural slant to it. YA fiction sells well these days, and featuring characters that have teenager-typical struggles makes sense. I enjoyed reading the sample on Amazon.

Thanks for the review. I think that it is important that when writing a YA book that the characters are realistic and believable since they do help to mold the teens. You seem to believe this is great for teens and young adults, so I hope that people take your review and encourage their kids who like supernatural stuff to read this.

The Journey by Shadahyah Elizabeth looks very promising. It actually made me think of Shannara series... :) If it will continue on this path, it has all the chances in becoming a successful series too.
