I was pretty skeptical about reading Ravens Peak by Lincoln Cole. I’m not into reading supernatural books about Demons. I for one believe there really is Demons out there. It’s not my typical read but it was for free and I figured, Why not? I either would like it or I would hate it. So why not give it a try? And I must say I was happy that I gave this book a try. I absolutely loved Ravens Peak and can’t wait to continue this series. If a book can bring you to cover your eyes and hide under your blankets, then you know it’s worth your time.
The book is based on a small town deep into the mountains. The town seems peaceful from the outside but from the inside it holds some scary secrets. It’s an outstanding paranormal read with so much action it keeps you on your toes. On top of such a great story line it was well written and the characters were well built which helped you understand who the characters are and who they were in the past.
The Residents of this small Ravens Peak start acting strange and doing some very unnormal things. The council suspect something paranormal and evil is taking over the people in the town and decide to take action. So, the town Council calls upon a Frieda to send a Hunter to investigate what’s driving all the town folks crazy. What you don’t expect is the crazy emotional twist between good and evil.
Arthur is a demon Hunter who seeks revenge for Abigail, who he absolutely adores and thinks of as his own flesh and blood. But Abigail isn’t dead but trapped inside her own body while she is possessed by a demon. Poor Abagail, you love her struggles through this book and how strong she is even while she fights her inner demon. Another main character in this book is Haatim. Who has a major part in this story from his past to the present. Much of his past he doesn’t know about but Abagail knows and keep some very important information from him. Making things just that much more frustrating and harder to get to the bottom of the towns demonic problem.
I loved the fact this book ended without a cliffhanger but don’t be alarmed there is more of this poor town coming!! Keep your eyes open for book 2! I have a feeling it’s going to be even better then book one!
I gave this book 4 out of 4 stars!
