Let it off my chest

Post by Jaime Lync »

Let it off my chest
I can get no rest
With this heart stone cold
With this tormented soul
Tormented soul

Agony like mahogany
Wooden chair slammed on my back (OUCH!)
At least it got me off the couch
I was so comfortable
Like having food on the table comfort me
Gluttony
Not really hungry but I was eating the horse
And that's just the appetizer before the main course
And no I wouldn't share
But hey, who just hit me with that wooden chair?

Black out, black out, black out
Back now
Pain let's me know I'm alive
I feel...not well
But not hell

Let it off my chest
For a long timeI was apathetic
Before that I was walking by faith for a long time
And then I slipped down a rabbit hole
Met bugs no bunny
Let it off my chest
Trying to laugh it out - not funny

How do you think it feels when you feel nothing?

Very evocative! But do you know who hit you with the chair? That seemed unfair. Nice job!

I wish I knew who hit me with the chair...I want to thank him/her. Sometimes we become so numb to the world that we don't even care anymore - maybe even contemplate suicide. But one good hit with a wooden chair maybe what God uses to wake us up from the apathy. He definitely uses everything for our good, even the pain.

He does indeed do that.
