I'm about a third through the book, and I've been curious about the characters (as have the others here), so I was glad to see this post. I have to agree with many of the comments about Abigail and Haatim. Abigail is strong and does what needs to be done, and Haatim probably should think better--and more often. I am curious about his father, too--I just learned that he is involved, so I guess I have to read some more today!

Abigail is definitely a great character and I can't wait to see what happens at the end of all of this.

Some really crazy twists in the second and third book for what is going on. I didn't see a lot of it coming!

Interesting--I've been thinking that I might need to read the second and third book. I'm curious about how everything will end, even though I'm only partly through the first book.

I liked Arthur's prologue so would like to see more of him, maybe in the next book? There's some hints about Haatim's father though and he sounds pretty ominous. As for the main characters I preferred Abigail to Haatim, it's nice to have the girl save the boy for a change.

I think that Arthur was by far the most intriguing character in the book...wouldn't want to be him though. The minor characters like the prison guard were also pretty hilarious.

I agree about Haatim's father. I do wonder exactly what he's going to turn out to be.

I find Arthur to be the most interesting. It's a pity he went out of the story quite early. His gamut of powers can be developed further. I hope the next installments can give him more 'airtime' so to speak. I eagerly await this to happen.

Yes maybe a bit of backstory of flashbacks or perhaps some scenes from his point of view.
This applies to Haatim's father too as I think there is more than meets the eye with the both of them.

That sounds perfect to me. I have a habit of reading a story and fantasizing about my own version of it. It's a bad habit, especially while reading.

If the author can get us to engage our imaginations in such a way with their story, then I would say that they have done a successful job in drawing in into their world.
