This book sounds intriguing. I would want to know if who really murdered Frank and what is his or her role in the story. Congrats on a well-written review! :)

I found this book deliciously written, I think that even if the mystery can be guessed early on, this book is still a great read. I love the balance between the descriptions and the action. I'll read this book soon.

I grabbed my copy! I can't wait to read it. I love mysteries and trying to figure out the end. I absolutely love getting it wrong though! It's been several years since I've been to Louisiana. I'll enjoy visiting again in this book :)

One word to sum up this book is INTENSE. The author speaks in 3rd person, so it almost feels that Colleen Stan (the survivor) is truly the victim she is. NO detail is left unnoticed, and you are thrust into Colleen's hellish world of abuse and confinement. I couldn't put it down, and I first saw this segment on a episode of "wicked attraction." Reading the book gave me even more of a background and took me deeper into the story. ONe part I didn't like, however, was all the court info, told from christine mcguire's side. I found it boring, and unless you are big into court drama or law, it may lose you. Such a good book I let my friend read it.

Such a shame that you could predict the end and it spoiled your experience of the book, but it's made me curious if I could predict the end too. Great job with the review.

Great review! I like books where there is suspense and with realistic characters. It's impressive that the author was able to capture the setting so well and create a character that can easily be sympathized. Congratulations to the author for receiving such a positive review!

Glad to see your sincerity! Some mystery books can show us the plot in the beginning and I really do wonder what will happen. However, If i can guess its plot in a good way, I am sure to stop reading it immediately. However, the story is well-written and encourage us to read it carefully.

Thank you for the nice review. Since this is one of my fave genres...mystery series, I might also give it a try and try to determine who the real killer is even before I reach the end pages. I hope to do well also.

Thanks for the review and congrats to the author! Suspense stories need to be very well put together and cross many characters and different lives. As the reviewer gives it 4 out of 4 I'm certain it's worth reading, I'm definitely adding it to my to do list. Thanks again!

I like the review on A Perfect Victim by Patricia Dusenbury. I love a book about crime drama, so this review was right on the mark. I also appreciate no spoiler on this one.
