If your only complaint about the book is the sudden switch from a steamy sex scene to an analysis of the event then I can't imagine what complaint i could possibly have. i will definitely try to read this one. Thanks for the review!
No problem! :D Thank you for your kind words as well!

Erotic novels aren't really my cup of tea, but the premise sounds interesting enough. I like your bottom line: "The perfect novel for someone who wishes to liven up their imagination, if not their actual lifestyle". Thank you for the review!

I'm not a big fan of the erotic genre, but I love the murder mystery aspect. This quote "...keeps the reader’s heart racing from page to page..." makes the read sound even more enticing! And, now it is an award-winning book? Congratulations to the author for receiving such a positive review and for winning the Golden Book Award - Readers' Choice 2017!!

Terrific review!
I adore a good suspense/thriller/mystery and have had this one on my TBR for awhile now but this review has me dying to read it now!
When I read -
"wonderfully combines the steam of an erotic novel with the suspense of a murder mystery. It keeps the reader’s heart racing from page to page, a result of both the highly detailed sex scenes and the dead bodies that keep popping up in Simone’s vicinity."
And then -
"the ending had me gasping in surprise. I’m not too bad when it comes to murder mysteries, but Behind the Door was delightfully tricky!"
was what really sealed the deal for me. I love when the mystery stumps me.
Thanks so much for sharing.

A very nice review! i am half-hearted now whether to read this book or not although
I had decided not to because I don't like stories about maniacs playing havoc in normal
people's lives, or should I say I don't have time for them? Anyhow, the reviewer is
very succinct in describing the gist of the book. Thanks for the great review!

Well, this definitely isn't my cup of tea. However, if you this is your preferred genre, it sounds like a great read. Thanks for the review.

Great review. I've read this awesome mix of mystery, suspense, humor, romance and erotica and it totally rocks. Congrats on being BOTD.

You did a great job with the review, but this really doesn't seem like my kind of book. I am not into erotic books, so I don't think I would enjoy this. Thanks for the review and the information though.

What a fantastic review! From the official review by Katiesquilts, I think my interest in Behind The Door by A.Gavazzoni is being piqued. All I want to read are mystery/thriller books but this book is all that plus lots of romance, and not just your average day to day romance but steamy sex scenes! I'm hooked! Count me in.

The first review was spot on, as I read the sample. I will be putting this one on my want to read shelf. I would not have thought this a romance story. It starts as erotica with a twist. But it definitely grabbed my attention. It is more 2 stories in one as you have Simone and Carl's side and then read about Mark & Lara.
