This sounds like a great take on the legend of King Arthur. I didn't grow up hearing the legend, so I'd be interested in how this book depicts it. Great job on the review!

Looks like a good historical fantasy! Thanks for the review, it is well-written. I also grew up reading the King Arthur legends and like to read about anything associated with it.

I love the whole King Arthur legend(s), and this sounds like a fantastic storyline to "explain" them!

Thank you, hsimone, for your review of this great read. I have only read the sample from Amazon and your review but I am fully ready to hunt it down and read the full version. I agree about the way this author tells a story. Very easy to imagine and picture yourself right there in it. I love reading books that take you there. As I said, I read the sample and was intrigued enough to read more, but it was your thorough and enthusiastic review of the book that gave me an extra buzz of excitement to finish the whole book. I am also already eager for the next installment. I love series books and am glad that I can get a 1-2 punch start with this series. Looking forward to the journey.

The review was well written. I very much enjoy the tale of King Arthur, yet by the review and the quick sample, I do not see a strong connection. Maybe, it was how the review was written (although, very well written). It seemed very historical versus adult tale of a popular story. It seems to have good review stars, so I might give it a chance, due to the journeyed tale of a story I like so much.

Wow, you've made me want to buy this book! I love an author who can really tell a story, to the point where you want to compulsively read the book, but are disappointed that it's over already. Good thing the next book comes out soon!

Just finished reading the sample and with your glowing review, this book has most definitely peaked my interest. King Arthur, early Briton, Saxons, and Romans, what's not to love. I especially liked that the author developed the characters. Giving understanding to the why's of each action. Well written review, thank you.
