This book sounds great. What an interesting idea, making Robyn Hood and her band of merry women, female! I love it. I'll have to put this book on my list of books to read, it sounds really fun and imaginative. Thanks for your great review. : )

I really loved the Robin hood series. Seeing a book depicting that act with a female lead is one of the most creative plots I've read. I really look forward to reading it.

Robyn Hood- outlaw princess got me captivated by the cover. Its about a young girl who was ambitious. But lack motherly care. While being punished by her college principal. A storm occured which carried her into sherwood forest where she was the leader of a group of women that are about to attack a Kingdom. She finds out that she is actually part of her ancestor. The book is amazing.

It is interesting how this is a book about a female version of Robin Hood. it is good to show how things can be different when the lead character is a woman instead.

Interesting that it has people from her time show up in the past like The Wizard of Oz.

Thanks for this great review! I have read the sample and think it will be a good read. I am glad you mentioned the disappointing book length as I would have felt the same way. Many new authors don't appreciate when their book is abrupt or too short. Sometimes it is because they are thinking of Volume 2 already and that's a shame -- if volume one isn't satisfactory, most folks won't spend money on the sequel! I love the female protagonist as well as the characters from her high school appearing in Sherwood Forest. Now I have to go read the book to find out those elements!! LOL

This seems like a book that I would enjoy reading. I like how it discusses gender inequality. Great job on the review!

I wonder how a female Robin Hood would fare. Though the book is intended for young adults, i believe it would be interesting for everyone. The gender inequality issue affects all ages even in this modern age.

Thanks for the thorough review.

I love the way gender equality is brought into this classic tale. It's a great concept for a young adult book. It seems like a great twist on the typical Robin Hood story. Great job on the review!

This sounds like a great book and I do like how the author contrasts the social mores that dictate both sexes behaviors. I like that it is a female centered book with women as the center and supporting roles. I also enjoy the twist on the original story of Robin Hood and that the female character seems very normal unlike most adventure tales.

Thanks for your intriguing review. This sounds like an interesting topic. I hope the author uses the book to show that while there are many things that everyone can do well, it is still important to recognize that each person has their own particular set of strengths. Even in this setting, not everyone can be a Robyn! As a society we make more progress when we use all our strengths (men and women) instead of denying our abilities and just try to make everyone equal.

The few chapters open for reading on Amazon held me spellbound - and I wish I could read more. I'll have to get the book. I like the Robin Hood stories in my youthful days, so this twist based on it is a welcome innovation.
