Great review! The storyline sounds complicated, with topics that include family relationships, adolescent angst and aliens to name a few. The book sounds like a fascinating read.

I liked your review and the author's use of uncertainty that made it difficult to determine what the truth is. I also like that the author highlighted mental illness and the stigmas that are attached to it. I believe that many YA authors do not approach this subject because it can be tricky, but mental illness is common among teenagers and young adults.

Excellent review! Very insightful. I especially liked the psychological aspect of it as I never saw the character in that aspect but rather as a confused adolescent. The characters are so realistic especially that of Courtney's mom as that's the action of typical parents - never paying much attention to their teenagers. I also loved how the book started at a fast pace and its just rising actions, one after the next. It has been a while since I read a book just for fun and this one just brought back the good old Stephen King days. Thanks author.

One can not wait to buy this book after reading the free sample if interested in this type (may be hooror typr for me) of book. The scene written is so realistic that started to imagine walking through that passage, that warm light, stumbling to chair soaking wet gown. Means like i totally amazed and feared whats gonna happen next. Loved it and you nailed it..

What a review! That is a review that offers readers a great insight without giving too much away and it sounds as though the author has captured your imagination too. Excellent!

Mahalo to the author for the discount! I just read a few pages. It is a young girl having mental illness. I was hook on page one. The author biography also intrigued me. Read his biography! Looking forward to this story!

The brief preview of The Alienation of Courtney Hoffman, has me a bit interested in knowing what exactly Courtney is facing and what led to her grandfather's death. The review for the book has made the story a bit clear to me. This is definitely a book that I would like to read.

Thank you for a great review. The sample was so interesting I could not stop reading. I didn't plan to add another book to my list of 'want to read'. But I really feel I can't pass this one up. Congratulations on BOTD.h

Amazing review! Sounds like a really good read. What's life without fiction?? I'll gently grab myself a copy

Brady G. Stefani Yes, his Novel is for all ages that shows that really he loves and has art in his writing. He off course spend more time doing research on different things to write about. :)

This review has gotten me already involved with the book. The unimaginable and uniqueness are things I look forward to in a book. I totally agree on your idea of romance in NY books, at times, the effect of overemphasizing romance in books is this: It defeats the very purpose of the story.

The sample of the book was great. The cover looks like a litle bit scary too. I don't know if Courtney is experiencing all those things because of her imagination or what.
