Sounds like it is a touching book. I'm not sure if it's for me but I'll have to read the sample to be sure.

Wow!This book was obviously written by a very talented author. Each word I read kept me glued to see what happens at the end. I kept scrolling to the end to see when It would be done. An all too realistic picture of what happens when we aren't able to deal with our fears..

Both Anna and her husband had promising careers and shared a life that most people dreamed of, however since Anna couldn't move on from her guilt, her hurts and her pain she was trapped in a life that just brought her memories that reflected a life she once had, a life she may never be able to have again.

As she came to her senses she tried to reach out, but she was surprised to see that her husband had already moved on. Even after an earnest effort on her part to fight for what she had, her husband's mind was made up.

She eventually blamed herself for losing him, and reaching out too late, that door was shut. I really don't know what's beyond those pages I read, but I do hope there is some sort of happy ending. A well written piece, which portrayed the happenings of every day life. A bit of sadness throughout the total pages I read, but on the other hand this gives you the hope, that things can only get better. As she falls into darkness, she might awake to newness of life.

I also liked books with deep character development. Anna sounds really admirable. Thank you for this great review. The Refuge seems like an interesting read.

This is another book about a seemingly have it all woman.Partner in a prestigious law firm, handsome husband, the good life personified. Unfortunately she lost her baby daughter, her mother may be seriously ill: how to cope with it all, run away.
There may be a germ of a good story here. The reviewer mentions alternative religions, finding another place to be your real self. However the use of many adjectives and heavily descriptive passages made it almost impossible for me to read. The book would be easily one third smaller without them, but might also be much better. Not my cup of tea!

I don't think I would be interested in reading this book. While the story seems interesting, I'm not really interested in reading books like this. Great job on the review!

I so love the book, Anna is a relatable character, very indepth. It isn't the regular damsel in distress kinda story which makes it stand out. I couldn't stop reading till I finished because I understood Anna and all what she was going through on a personal level.

A good book that gives a realistic experience, it's becomes someone's Journey of discovery about himself discovering new friendships, and the joy that comes from self discovery.

Then the discussion of the new life and the way of learning new happy things .. atleast that what i got from what read so far ..I can't wait to read the full book
