Unrequited Love

Post by Jaime Lync »

Te amo tanto que me duele
You didn't get that did you?
But can't you see it in my face
a love that aches my very soul

Like Mars, ' I'll catch a grenade for ya!'
but you must be Venus...do you not see
it is my will I am stuck in love?

'Te amo tanto que me duele!'
You gaze into my pupils and
seem oblivious to my amor
God free me from this dolor!

Thanks EMoffat. Glad you enjoyed it. Yes, I wrote it.
It would have been unlawful of me to share someone else's poetry and not give them the props they deserve - I believe in stealing lines but ripping off an entire poem would be plagiarism and that's a no no.

This is such a sweet poem. Found myself smiling when I read the second line because yeah, I didn't get it! Haha. Loved the mix of English and Spanish in this piece. <3

I have loved the stars too fondly to be fearful of the night."

This is a great poem, Jaime! You made me realize that I need to get back writing!
