Thanks for the review. I've only read the first few chapters but it certainly sucks you in. I'm glad to hear that it continues for the rest of the book

Thanks for the review. It sounds like this definitely covered the times in the book perfectly. I am glad that you rated it 4 stars even though there were a few things that you could have been really picky about.

Very detailed and insightful review. I was curious about the book before but you portray it as very invigorating filled with a variety of experiences for the main character. Thank you for sharing.

Great review. This book sounds interesting. I was a parent to a cat (I loved him like a son) I know it's not the same but I know what it's like to love and lose the one you love.

The review is intriguing, though brief but was able to convey the true story of the book, touching every attribute of the main character -her flaws and strengths just as the author portrays them. It is indeed an interesting work.

Good job on a very thorough review. The book sounds appealing even though you found it a bit lacking.

:techie-studyingbrown: Quite interesting, it's a straightforward and easy understanding by the reader, the best of it start with tragedy and loss of feeling because something already happened. Kudos to the author for making it free

A woman loses her son and leaves her country and goes to California to seek a new life only to get embroiled in drugs, sex and rock and roll.

A very acute painful experience is to lose a child! And if the kid is lost by a young mother, people tend to condemn her although they do not know all the details, good choice as a theme book. I'm curious about how the writer intertwines the music with the main character's situations. Thanks for the review!

Although the official review of City of Redemption was compelling, it's not something I would like to read. I steer clear of tear jerkers if at all possible, even when the main character is described as being relatable. One thing I did really like in the review is when Liz, the main character, hears music playing at various times and feels that the particular song is speaking directly to her about her situation at that time.

'Official Review: City of redemption by June Ahern', takes a microscopic look at the book, not missing the essence of it, especially, when it mentions music.
