My current name is Rosemary. My baptism name is Rosa maria. Its interesting how my initial name was changed while I was in nursery school. I was named after a catholic nun from Italy who was a friend to my mom. Her name was Rosa maria. But when I went to nursery school, my teacher wrote my name as Rosemary. My classmates and other teachers also referred to me as Rosemary. So I learnt to write Rosemary and no one taught me how Rosa maria was written. When I was registering for my final O level exam, my mom requested me to write Rosa maria as my exam name which I didn't and all my academic certificates bear the name Rosemary. And I decide to maintain it.

My name is an invention my parents came up with. It is derived from my grandmothers' names: Yolanda and Maria. As a result, they came up with Yolimari.

My name is Desare'e. My mom and her brothers were all born in France while their father (my grandfather) was stationed there in the air force. So my grandmother gave them all french names. I am my mothers first child and so she decided to keep up that tradition with me. At the time I was born there was no internet or simple access to how to spell a name so she just guessed at it which is why my name is not spelled the traditional way. She sounded it out as Des-uh-rae. Im the only one of my brothers and sisters she bothered to come up with a french name for.

I was named for both my grandmothers, but that was not supposed to be the case. My parents wanted to name me Frances after my paternal grandmother. My maternal grandmother, however, threw a fit that I was being named after one grandmother but not her. So, I was named Janie Frances thanks to my grandmother, Janie, railroading my parents into submission. Hooray.

Both my grandmothers are named Patricia. My parents wanted to honor them in some way, so they made Patricia my middle name. I'm very proud of it :)

Angelee Kristin is my real name. My father gave that to me. And it's kinda funny how he balanced the vowels in my name so they both have seven letters to each of them.

My name is pretty long and somewhat complicated, so many people can't say it. My mom made it by combining my dad's name with my uncle's name. I still don't know why she thought that would be a good idea :lol2: :lol2:

I have a two-part first name, with each name representing one of my parents. :) I only use the first part of my name, though. Sorry, Mom.

My parents named me. It was a mixture of both of their names. My name is Melyn, and my dad's name begins with Mel, while my mom's nickname ends in -
yn. Most of the time people tend to mispronounce it but really it just sounds like the name Celine.

I got my name from my parents - Mike and Joyce. My name is Onyebuchi - a Nigerian name meaning: Who is my God? My parents extracted the name Onyebuchi from the Bible - Proverbs 31.
