When it's a historical fiction in view, I get lost completely. Thanks for this wonderful review.

A great review of this historical fiction. It is said to understand the present and take advantage of the future we need to revisit our past, learn from it, reflect on it. We see this in the two characters as the story unfolds

A novel full of suspense. So captivating, and interesting. This book made me feel so emotional at some point. A journey about Amanda and Mark as they explore the lives in which they once lived. Through the difficult times of the American Civil War, the bond felt between slaves and the white children they vowed to take care of, and The Great Chicago Fire of 1871, Amanda learns more about herself and what life is truly about. Now, all Mark needs to do is somehow convince her that their love is real and she should not let her past tragedies keep them apart. The author is such a good writer. I felt every moment of the book like i was there when all those events took place. I am longing for another book like this from the author.

The sounds interesting. Don't always judge people based on your past. They might be different.

The book is more amazing when I realised it's more of real life situation. Thumbs up to the writers. The plot of the book and the scene are more realistic. If had to vote for the book of the month, I would have given if five stars. Thumbs up to the author. :) [amazon=][/amazon]

Wow, these comments are certainly enlightening and downright entertaining! ?
What an interesting review as well!
I do tend to get lost in books that are historical in nature and I'm already seeing myself going back and forth in time as Amanda.
Plus, one gets to actually learn facts from these type of books. Quite intrigued about the Great Fire. Congrats to the author on a job well done!
