Charlie Sheldon in Strong-Heart gave a beautiful background into the long history and origin of the people North American was able to give a strong reason to human legend in regards to the origin of human while greatly considering scientific evident to back it up.

Starting with a small family, Charlie Sheldon was able to vividly explain the native people of North American and their rich history, which has been passed out over the ages to descendants through storytelling and record books. From the very first chapter to the last, strong insight was giving into the North American’s history and origin.

Charlie Sheldon using the disputable experience of a 13 year old without much educational knowledge who was taken by her grandfather to visit the remains of her great grandfather but ended up as the one taking the older people for an adventure of a lifetime. Her disappearance and return was so beautifully captured which he used to prove that more can still be uncovered in human history and origin with more scientific research. With the story he was able to beautifully combine North Americans legend of their long existence on that soil with scientific theories of their existence and he was able to successfully show us how they mostly conflict with each other. The books further went into details to show North Americans history that they have been on the soil long before present scientific theories can prove. Showing us that much work can still be done in the aspect of human origin and migration.

Charlie Sheldon was able to give a vivid illustrations of how challenges sometimes make family bond closer together which was illustrated in Tom’s and Sarah sticking together with Tom promising to come with her more often. He also showed that sometimes personal interest of the affluent and those in position of authority can often come in the way of some scientific discovery as can be seen from how the Buckhorns attacked the Sarah’s group and destroyed the just recovered edifice of what could have been used to help prove a major discovery so that their interest in the land will not be hindered.

He ended the book with a challenge to scientists and archaeologists to do more researching and findings to the existence of human, as more evidence might be uncovered. Explorers, lover of human origin, archaeologists, lovers of adventures and lovers of logical argument will definitely find Strong-Heart an irresistible book. I rate the book 3 out of 4 stars; it proved to be a great read at the end but was not fascinating from the start.

I'm not sure this would be enough to hold my attention. It sounds like the author beautifully describes the landscape and setting, though. Thanks for the review.

Thanks Kandscreeley. I mostly complete any book I start. But sincerely I later got attached to the book as I continued reading but most people might not have the patience to go that far.

Hi Debbyemi. Thank you for sharing your thoughts about Strong Heart. I am currently reading it. Yes, children can also teach us adults a few things. Actually, in this age of technology, they can teach us a lot.

Thanks for checking my review out, we really have a lot to learn from children this days, when we doubt them, it makes them feel less confidence.
