Do you prefer reading recently published books, old books, or both?

I enjoy reading books that have been recently published and those that have been out for a long time. Recently published books give me something fresh and new to discover. Whether it's a new author, a new world that has been thought up or a new twist on an old classic. Books that have been published long ago have had the time to age, mature and become something that lasts. Some of the new titles will only be a quick flash in the dark while others will stand the test of time.

I prefer both. I like to read old books because it's interesting to read books from the past. I also like reading recently published books because I like to keep up with what's current.

I read both. I love the old classics, and there are plenty I have yet to read. I also enjoy reading new releases. Genres have grown a lot over the years, and there are so many more avenues now for budding authors.

Both. I love reading stories that were written long ago, before the people in them or writing them knew what was going to happen in the future. Stories written "about" the past are often influenced by what the author knows about what happens later in the world.

I love reading any book that has a good story line. However there is something mysterious about really old books that's kinda fun!

I like both whether new or old, they have treasure of knowledge in them. Taking about old ones, they have history in them and also you get to learn the difference and innovation in today's world while comparing it to old history written in old novels .They have their own epic essence. Coming onto new ones, they have fresh essence and you feel like it just happened recently . So, I love reading both.

Both for me. I was an English literature major so I will always have a long list of books to read that are Classics or previously published because I feel that I have to have read all canon books. I also read recently published books mainly because they are accessible and it keeps me up-to-date on current trends.

It depends. I prefer to start a series when all of the books have already been published. On the other hand, if it is just one book then it doesn't matter when it was published - it just has to be good.

As long as it's a good book, I don't mind. However, I prefer the way authors of newer books write.

It doesn't matter to me if it's new or old. All I'm looking for is a good book. I usually hear more about older ones though.
