Five years ago Aria Longbottom's fiancée, Dale, left her to be with her more attractive cousin, Lindsay; the prologue, which is pretty short, depicts the scene where he ends the engagement and shows how she felt at that moment. Since then, Aria has been focused on work and banned all thoughts on men and relationships, but it turned out Dale hadn't been the reason for that at all; the night he broke up with her, Aria had a drunken one night stand with her family friend and sexy billionaire, Justin Kay. After five years, he finally confronts her about that night, which ensues in their engagement and a lot of chaos to come.

To avoid spoilers, I didn't want to say too much; but of course, there's more. Both Aria and Justin have crazy families, mothers that take over all the wedding planning and personalities that collide more than once in this book.

Now I'll really start with the review and go a bit more into some of the details. First of all, I rate this book 2 out of 4 stars; not because I didn't like it, it was okay but not good enough for more. There were some mistakes I noticed like the first time Janet was mentioned, it was as Aria's older sister although through the rest of the book she was always said to be the younger sister; there were also some typos and grammatical errors.

Here were some of the thoughts I had when I first started Marrying a Playboy Billionaire: The idea isn't that original, but nowadays no idea is really an original anymore; the main character seems interesting after what happened to her, and for once the girl in a romance novel wasn't super model thin.

In the end, I'm not sure how I feel about the book, there were too many ups and downs and not in a way that keeps a story interesting. Pretty much all the characters seemed to have mood swings all along the book. The story didn't turn out how I thought it would in terms of character development and that was disappointing. Justin, for example, started off as the hot, funny, rich male protagonist that showed traits of arrogance and entitlement. Besides, Aria and Justin are both proud and try to get the upper hand in their relationship. Maybe other readers will have more appreciation for the clash of the different personalities in the book. What I liked most about the book though were the steamy scenes, which there were plenty of.

You'll definitely get a yes or no answer to the question if there's a happy ending or not, but there were some questions that were left unanswered for me. But if you're a sucker for Romantic/Other fiction novels with the before mentioned steamy scenes you should give it a try, it could still be a book for you.
