Aria Longbottom is your average, everyday, modern, independent, Australian maiden, who with good reason, had banished all thoughts of romance and the opposite sex has far from her mind as possible. Especially after what happened five years ago with Dale. Dale was the man who had seen past all of her facade and imperfection. The man whom she thought loved her, had discarded her for her stunning cousin Linda. In an attempt to not let him see the shards of her broken heart fall to the ground, Aira had made an escape to Justin Kay's room that night. Justin Kay, the host of the New Year's Masquerade party that year and an old family acquaintance. Justin Kay her intoxicated partner with whom she had shared her one night of passion, and the man who had ensnared her into a marriage proposal five years later.
Marrying a playboy billionaire by H.M. Irwing is an erotic romance novel that follows the progression of Aira and Justin's engagement and wedding. Like all erotic novels, the story contains the graphic description of the sexual act. Even though this is an erotic novel, the story around the sexual interaction was quite lovely, with a witty sense of humour. The story is told from Aria's perspective ( a plump self-conscious career woman), as she finds herself ensnared into an engagement with one of Australia's most eligible bachelor and renowned playboy Justin Kay. A man who is determined to make her his wife whether she likes it or not.
I found this story to be quite relatable and funny, there were even instances where I found myself empathizing with the main character on some of the issues she had to deal with. What I really liked about this book was that it didn't have any of those melodramatic cliche`s or shenanigans that a reader would typically encounter.
This book was a light and refreshing read of a hundred and thirty- two pages. There were a few minor grammatical errors such as the misuse of the periodic punctuation mark and if you're old school like me, the start of a sentence with a conjunctive word may irk you a bit, however, there weren't really that many errors. The only thing that really got to me was on page 106, line 16 when I thought that Mrs Kay had learnt the two protagonist secret, but then it turned out that she hadn't, so I was left confused as to what she had over heard. A point to note as well is that this book contains a few fancy terminology, so unless you're a person who has an extensive vocabulary or someone who like to look up new words then this book might not be for you.
I am rating this book a 3 out of 4. It was fairly well-written and enjoyable so I can't take anything away from it, however, I couldn't give it a higher rating since it just didn't have that wow factor I was looking for. I would recommend this book to any mature adult who is looking for something light and fun to read.

Thank you, for some reason, I had a difficult time writing this review. The book itself was a fun read, but expressing my thoughts on it did not come as easy as I had thought. When I had first come across this book, I did not see any indication that it was an erotic novel, However, after reading the novel and getting acquainted with the characters, I didn't mind as much that the book was laden with sex scenes.readandsmile wrote:Hello, sin24, I like the way you wrote your review. It is just I already finished reading the book. Thanks for that even if that book is not my type.
