It really looks like Harry Potter but still the book seems a bit too violent for me: slavery, murder, rape. Thanks for the review.

Harry Potter meets Game of Thrones? Those are some big names, sounds like it's worth checking out.

Great review! It does seem a little weird that such young characters were chosen for this. However, it sounds like a good story. I like that the characters chose their own names based on their experiences.

End if the Last Kingdom (The Brimstone) is an amazing story that got me hooked from the first chapter. I kept regretting it when I realised I was close to finishing the book, but all good things do come to an and.
Excellent indepth review that just made me want to read the book again.

This is a great review. I read a bit of the sample and found the book interesting. Well paced and really not the kind of the book you want to put down. I agree that the atrocities the young kids are exposed to is rather dark. I find it upsetting but it makes for interesting reading. The story in itself is very much like Harry Potter...

The story being fast paced and filled with unique characters and captivating creatures makes the story quite interesting. In addition is its comparability to Harry Potter because of the magic and fantasy. I am not a fan of such genre but thumbs up for giving a simple yet easy to understand review.

I loved reading your review! This sounds like a captivating book. That's a shame that there isn't enough details in some sections, but I find that often happens in a lot of fast-paced books. I find it more disturbing that the children are so young and going through all of those things but I think it's something I can get past. I have before! Thank you for such a great review. I'm adding this to my list!

A real epic narrative from Victor Rose. Sounds adventurous and wouldn't mind peeping through. Thanks for making the novel shine.

The parts of the introduction that I read were interesting enough, but this review makes me want to read this book even more. Too bad the author wasn't always thorough enough with the details. Fantasy novels of 500 pages are common for the very reason of needing to include more than the usual amount of details. Regardless, I am very interested in continuing this book. Thank you for your review.
