"My Trip to Adele" by A.I. Alyaseer and R.I. Alyaseer is a fictional story that discusses the lives of three different characters and their lives within their own cities they are in. The one thing in common with all three of these individuals is that they are all trying to get to one destination. Elias is the first character introduced and it tells of his life as he travels back to his hometown in Morocco from Rome to try and break a spell that he believes fully in and find the love of his life, Malika, that he left behind by doing so. Nadia is the second character introduced and she is living in Jordan. She is a single mother and has been battling her abusive ex-husband for freedom and happiness in her own life as well as the life of her son. She is struggling with getting her leave approved from her job to take her son on trip as well as other hurtles that are standing in her way. The last character introduced is Yaser from Las Vegas. He is a doctor that is overcoming hurtles of a struggling marriage and trying to find control in his own life again as an individual. He plans a trip to revive his marriage and find the spark that it once held.

Out of all the characters, I enjoyed Nadia the most because of how she went against the grain with everything and everyone all for the love she held for her son. It was a beautiful and emotional depiction of a mothers love and had me tearing up through some of the moments she overcame. Elias was another character that I enjoyed reading about as well, but his back story was not as entertaining to me as the others. I think that the book overall was great and had a nice pace to it. I didn't find myself bored or thinking any of the characters stories were going on for too long.

My favorite part of the book were all the song lyrics that flowed so perfectly to what was going on in each characters story at the time. After every portion of a characters story there were the song lyrics to end their segment and it always seemed like the song was written just for them and what they were going through. It made the story more enjoyable for me. My least favorite part of the book was the ending. I felt there could have been more to tell and almost felt robbed of an ending that matched the quality of the book overall. It was a great book and I feel that it was just a bit rushed at the end and the fact that there was already so much potential there to keep going for a solid ending made me saddened by it. Still though it was a fantastic book.

I would recommend this book to any reader that is a fan of romance, overcoming obstacles, and an introduction to different customs and places. I will also so if you are a fan of Adele then this book is definitely a good read due to the numerous song lyrics strung throughout the book. It is a quick read as well so anyone looking for a quick read that still has some spunk, love, and struggles throughout it would enjoy this as well.

I rate this book 3 out of 4 stars due to some errors within the writing. There was only a few, but it was enough for me to take notice of them. "What sort blind law" is the beginning of a sentence where a word was omitted between "sort" and "blind" that I got caught up on. I began to wonder if maybe it was written like that because the language is spoken different in different places, but it was enough to cause me to pause. Another one was, "But I wished my parents could have accompanied us just like parents did." Again there was another word omitted or that could have been reworded to make more sense. The last one I noticed and that caused me to pause while reading was after Nadia is introduced and it said, "I was forced to buy it in installments, and it had taught me that possessing something of value items wasn't always easy."

Thank you! :D
It was a good book overall. There were some moments throughout the book that I did find myself questioning if what was happening was acceptable, but it made for a great story. It was a quick read, and had tons of Adele quotes. I love her music so it was quite enjoyable. I was wary to give it a try at first, but I'm glad I ended up reading it.
