Nice review I really appreciate your thoroughness. The title really caught my attention. Though it's disappointing that the story falls flat as it does. Your rounding your rating up though gives me some hope and I'm going to give it a try. Thanks so much for sharing.

I've just blasted through the first 2 chapters to get a taste for it & it was all looking quite promising- an interesting conflict with tension & unanswered questions. And then I read your review... Its refreshing to see such an open/frank appraisal but how can you give it 3 out of 4 stars when "the first pages had (you) hooked, but from there it went downhill"?

Cup of Evil by E. Groat is a good thriller to dive into after a long day since it will dissolve all of your worries. Excellent review and I particularly respect the bluntness of it.

The title of this book, Cup of Evil, just on the face of it, comes across as one which will be saturated with murder, mayhem and all kinds of evil. But, from the review, these are depicted mildly. I like mild thrillers, dealing with hyper-adrenaline surge in a reading experience is not one of my favourite things. Very detailed review, though.

This book seems really interesting and funny, at least that's what i thought when i started reading your review but i got bored in the middle and i was even about to quit. While the story seems intriguing it seems to have lots of flaws, multiple irrelevant characters and confusing names among others. I like your review but i just don't think that i can read the book.
