Somebody is killing people on Tuesdays at 11:05 pm, is the thrilling premise of the second book in the Inspector Sheehan Mystery Series, The 11:05 Murders. Detective Sergeant Denise Stewart, Detective Tom Allen, and Chief Inspector Sheehan are caught in a plot that brings past and present together and it will keep you on edge until the end.

Let me tell you that it was my first read by O'Hare and it did not disappoint. I came to this reading with zero expectations, not knowing what I would find. I was surprised, in a good way. The strong set of characters that he presents us are interesting, relatable and intriguing. Brian O'Hare is a remarkable author with a unique style of writing that can make you travel. The book itself is addictive, full of action, suspense, unexpected twists, and turns that will make you fully enjoy this experience.

The read, as a whole, was quite enjoyable from start to finish. Aside from some minors errors I do recommend this book, it was a well-paced mystery that managed to keep me on my toes. I like the fact that the reader had so many pieces of the puzzle to put together, the small hints that the author sprinkled here and there is a nice touch. After some thinking, I decided that this book deserved a rating of 3 out of 4 stars.

Too often books that deal with police procedures fall into the abyss of repetition, where we read the same thing over and over. While I felt some details were somewhat too superficial, for instance, the female detective that had a not so pleasant first experience with her co-workers and was transferred, it was still a great read. There are some grammatical errors and incorrect/confusing sentences, for example;

She just wanted to know if you could you just go up and be with her for a while.

There are plenty of suspects to keep you second guessing. The fact that I kept changing my mind on who was the killer, the struggle to try and solve the mystery makes it even more captivating. It was well-plotted and entertaining to read the somewhat "controversial" world of law enforcement. O'Hare managed to demonstrate that life is not always easy or black and white, there are always consequences for every action we take.
