Interesting review. I like books that make me laugh. I'm glad you enjoyed it. Your review makes the book sound really interesting. Looking forward to those 'laugh-out-loud' moments.

I think I will try to read it myself. I can sense the amazement in your description and I like it. I have a hunch that my flatmate would like to read this book with me. We are both here in this club, so I think of suggesting the book to her as well. Thanks!

If there are people who believe that nothing is bad if it is used or done at the right time, at the right place, for the right reason and to the right extent, I am one of them.

Graffiti was once regarded as a complete nuisance, but some people have relooked at it and found out that it is a form of art, or that it can be converted into art.

If graphically coarse and sexual language is entertaining to some people at some moments, so be it.

A crudely humorous person like Pomeroy who plays in the streets and entertains people should be regarded as a useful member of the society. He does not deserve to be thrown into the jail often; all he needs is to trim his excesses in form of counseling and help to fully develop his talent.

Even though I only read the review I laughed quite a few times. His don't-care-what-you think attitude is a breath of fresh.
James Hanna did an excellent job of writing, his dark humor and method of story telling makes for a worthy page turner.

I read the sample and I totally got caught from the start. I was so sad to get to the end of the sample. I usually wouldn't fancy people with his attitude, but he's so funny; I just had to like him. I totally agree with you when you say you don't think he was gathering as much of an audience as he thought. I experienced the same feel in his lyrics about Bush. That's probably what the author wanted us to experience and he did a good job of it. I enjoyed your review. Thanks for sharing!

This is an interesting and fun story of a man who grew up in the street and came from Jail. Pomeroy seems like have a negative reputation but he has a comedian character inside. Thank you for this review.

As a non English speaking person, being often in situations where non native English speakers speak English, I enjoyed reading the review itself. Also, literary criticism is not my major, so as an amateur I was surprised that the review is personal (towards main character: '...but I still found it hard not to like him.'). I am not sure weather my own attitudes towards the main character or plot would be the same, but the way the book is presented makes me want checking it.

I don't often read humorous or satirical books, but this one looks promising about a questionable main character. Your review encouraged me to ck. this one out...thanks!
