this is a great review. Despite the fact that it is fictitious, it reflects on how a child's education can be affected by the way they live at home. Mostly it brings a negative impact on the child's education life making him or her lose the interest of education.
thanks so much.

This sounds like it is a heartbreaking read. Not sure if I'll be able to get through it because I have a hard time reading tragic stories about children, but I've added it to my bookshelves and hope to give it a try.

This was a really great book, as it captured what really goes on in our schools. A lot of children have dreams from the start, but along the line when life gets tough, those dream wither away and we are left with a few 'survivors'. This story was really emotional and yet captivating. You always wanted to know what happens next. I would recommend this to everyone.

This seems like quite a moving and introspective book. I started reading it and immediately I saw the slight outlines of the pain that Marxx felt. If it's as good as you say, I'm sure my heart will be wrenched as yours was. I hope too vey soon. Altogether, well done on your review. I love thhe fluidity and style of writing. Thank you for your thoughts. ;)

Chris Bowen, as an inveterate and celebrated teacher, must be very familiar with the transition from childhood to teen and then to adulthood

I see that his book serves as an excellent guide for parents as well as for people who want true self devaluation

This book sounds extremely interesting to me... to read about the point in children's lives where the thirst for knowledge gets a backseat as life starts to get hard. I look forward to reading this novel. I'm glad you enjoyed it and I'm sure it could be a great teaching tool. :)

At first I thought A Bloody Book is a novel with gross images of blood, sorcery and violence but, I can see it is a novel I will love reading.

This is a great review and gives me a clear understanding of what to expect from the story. As a mom of two young boys I want them to be confident in reading and enjoy it. I hope it is always part of their lives and not something they find frustrating.

Good review. This sounds like a good description of the life of some children. It is sad to know that conditions like this exist.
