I agreed with the least favorite part.Gikonyo Caroline wrote:Favourite:when Sarah darts the two Buckhorn guys and pinned the two to a tree despite one of them holding a gun , the two had ransacked her teams backpacks and destroyed the spear thrower, cameras and phones.
Least favourite: the plot moves on at a snails pace so some scenes have little or no event, also the book ends unceremoniously

Yes that's when it becomes interesting. Good one.gali wrote:One of my favorite scenes was when Sarah appeared on Tom's doorstep. It was a strong beginning.

Hopefully the sequel will have a better ending that readers will like.Steph K wrote:The ending was a little weak for me. It felt rushed and perfunctory.

Also a better beginning because next time we don't need to set up plot so much as most readers would already know it.Amagine wrote:Hopefully the sequel will have a better ending that readers will like.Steph K wrote:The ending was a little weak for me. It felt rushed and perfunctory.

That was a pretty good scene.jenjayfromSA wrote:I enjoyed the fantasy parts when Sarah connected to the Bear that led her to the past. There was a feeling of timelessness and mystery, that more could be hidden in the wilderness than we can understand, or perhaps we could understand once, but we today have lost that connectedness with the natural world. You can feel it in the old places of the world, where man has not dominated. Sarah seems to have the sensitivity, or intuition, to link to that. You would expect it of Myra, given her heritage, but she seems to be too angry and involved in everyday issues.

The mystery was very nicely built..jenjayfromSA wrote:I enjoyed the fantasy parts when Sarah connected to the Bear that led her to the past. My favorite scenes were Myra's debate with Sergei and when Buckhorn employees destroyed the artifact and the violence that later ensued.
