Thank you for the thorough & honest review. I appreciated your perspective on the platonic relationship as I tend to agree that oftentimes romance finds its way into a story unnecessarily. I like that the central theme of the book is the struggle on morality with faith being the ultimate weapon as it often seems to be like that in real life. Gripping the reader's attention throughout the book is no small feat for a writer and this book did it right from the prologue.

This sounds like a really great read. The sample definitely left me wanting more. It is refreshing that the platonic relationship you mentioned in your review did not go further into a romantic one. I very much enjoyed this new action packed paranormal thriller and here’s why. I love strong, multi-dimensional characters who grow and progress throughout the story with every new challenge thrown at them. Both Haatim and Abigail are the perfect examples of strong characters, and especially Haatim, who starts off like an unsuspecting young blogger, who suddenly gets confronted by paranormal forces and realizes that all those stories about monsters were real. Abigail, a young courageous fighter working for an ancient Council, saves him, and both find themselves in the middle of action.
An ancient demon took possession of a small boy’s body and is looking to spread madness all over the world if not contained. Haatim and Abigail are ready to risk their lives for the sake of humanity, however time is quickly running out…
The action scenes were just incredible, and made me turn pages faster and faster. I found myself genuinely rooting for the main characters and their cause; their selflessness and bravery was indeed worth admiration. Having finished book one, I’ll be looking forward for the second one to see where the author will take his characters next. A great read!

Not my sort of book as I tend to avoid horror and supernatural themes but I have to admit, based on the review, I will check out the sample. I like a book that hooks you right from the start.

This book has promise. The story is captivating enough and I definitely would want to read this book. Right at the start, the story and the inner drama of the characters, have gripped my imagination that, had I been reading a physical copy, I wouldn't have been able to put the book down. People who have gone through some loss of the sense of purpose, would be more than happy to read something they could relate to and hopefully, find meaning again.
