The book sounds interesting. However, super hero type books are not up my ally. Sounds like a great read and I think others will really enjoy it. Well done!

Is enticing with it's Superpower stories, the unique thing about this book is that its almost more of a mystery than a book of superheroes. Rob does use the powers that he gains, but he relies more on his friends and detective work than the powers. I would recommend it for anyone who wants to read.

This is one I'm going to have to read next. Not knowing what the book was about, when Rob accidentally ate the lab sample, I thought for sure he was going to keel over. When the next chapter began with him explaining to the doctor that he seemed "fine" now, no more nagging health issues, I began to put 2 and 2 together. This was so easy to read, lighthearted and fun, that I just HAVE to find out what happens in the rest of the story!
Thanks for your review! And for not giving away the ending.

After reading the review, I wasn't sure why the book is entitled Culture Man, because at first I thought this book was a memoir. The premise is interesting and it sounds like a book that a young adult might enjoy.

Am eager to know Rob's reaction after receiving brand new, free supernatural powers.

A blogger acquires powers and resolves to win the local tennis championships but gets embroiled in crime. Looks like a great mystery story. Thanks for the great review.

A book about super heroes and villains? Sounds fun! I love that the author included references to the setting! That makes it more realistic! Congrats on book of the day! Great review!

I am pretty picky when it comes to how super powers are done but this one seems like it might actually be pretty good.

This is an interesting book to read. I wonder how Rob managed to present himself with his new gift; especially to his ex-girlfriend.

It's interesting that the author decided to tell a hero story with cultural knowledge. A delightful book for sure.

Nice review. There’s a lot to like about this book from what you say in the review. I need to get in touch with the girlfriend for some of what Rob took. I love to read about places I’ve never been, so I’m sure I’d love the descriptions about the town. Though I’m not into fantasy, this sounds different.

the summary of this book intriqued me with the promise of superpower's villains and great characters, and what made this book unique was the fact that this was almost more of a mystery than a book of superheroes. thanks for the review.

Something just pulled me to this book, not exactly sure what. Reading this review has revealed the answer, it is totally my kind of book. Superhero stories that are somewhat scientifically explained adds that touch of belief and character connection. Thanks for the detailed, insightful review, kandscreeley!
