Once I told her that the only reason the said that was because she grew up in a house that didn't have a real floor. Then she made Hickory Tea.

Granted, but then your mind will overfill.Bighuey wrote:Granted, but you are right. you were not there in 1954.
Life was better. No internet, cars you could fix yourself, 25 cent a gal gas, you could buy two weeks groceries for 15 dollars. Wish I was back there now.
Not to mention Huey that there was 5 cents for a cup of coke. Aren't you in your 70s now? Man, you spent your best years in the best timeline.
I WANT to believe in when you die you can go to wherever you want, you all know where i'm going: (The year 1945)

....and Yes. There a tree that grows aroung here that old folks call a Hickory Tea Tree. I'm not sure if that's the actually name of the tree or just what people call it. Anyways.... you can use the leaves to make a tea called Hickory Tea that is said to calm nerves and relax you. It has really green, wet, thin branches. If you got a woopin' with one of those switches it was nearly equivalent to a 19th century lashing. You don't come out of it without blood running down your backside. Grandma would go out and break off a branch, pull off all the leaves, and give us a switchin'. Afterward she would make tea from the leaves and sit there slowly drinking it while we sat in time out in the corner crying. Needless to say after the first time Grandma made Hickory Tea, whenever she would so much as mention it we would stop dead in our tracks before she made it again. Some people called it cruel, but she called it effective.
Now a days you can't do that anymore unless you just paticularly want to go to jail lol.....
I wish I had a swimming pool.

Thats interesting about your tree. My mom used a wooden spoon on me and my dad just used his hand. When I was 7 I told my dad to go to hell. That was a big mistake. After I picked myself off of the floor I decided that was not such a good idea. You are right, touch a kid nowdays you would go to jail for child abuse or sex abuse.
Almost forgot, If I cant have a wife i wish I was kept.

Granted, but then you would have dead mouse smell all over the place!
I wish we didn't have to wait so long to get our own house.
