I like books that make me think about things that do not normally come up in my daily conversations. I don't particularly agree with most of the author's views. However, it was well written and because of that I could not put it down. Fred Howard is an exceptional writer.

A transformative spiritual journey. As I've grown older, I've gone through similar journeys. The knowledge gained gives an inner peace. More people should read stories like this to jump start their own journey.

It seems like the author's spiritual journey was worthwhile and memorable. I love how he studied others in order to grow in his own understanding of faith. Also, I find it inspiring that you were able to relate to the author's experience as a born-again Christian.

It's also great to hear that this was both well-written and logically presented, especially in a non-fiction text. I think taking the book in a slow-reading fashion does sound appropriate for this text. Though I'm not sure it's for me, I am glad that you were able to enjoy this read!

I can connect with this book because I share similar experiences with the author. My favorite part is the three types of faiths. As with the author and the reviewer, I was taken to church as a child to learn about Jesus. As I got older, I began to question why we went and began to explore Christianity. Up until recently, I was agnostic and I was not interested in learning about God. Now, I am at the point in my life where I am religiously unaffiliated in that I believe in a higher power, but do not ascribe to a certain faith.

Thank you for this review. I was born in to a Christian family, so I understand the Christian religion very well. But, certain situations in my life, I questioned my faith and I explored further into god. I was born again just 16 months ago with newfound knowledge and a better connection with god. But the tests and trials of life, I needed to I needed to find something well written and inspirational. With this review I can't wait to read this book.

Those who do not care for non-fiction or “religious-type” books may not enjoy it as well as I did.

I think, I'll feel sleepy while reading this book. I mean to say, this is not the genre I like reading most.

What a great review! The review provides a succinct understanding of the author's intent which is to be objective.
I can relate with the book as I myself is trying to understand my faith especially coming from a multi-religious family.

The name of this book is intriguing and profound, so I expected the review to be altered by what I should call name impression. It surprised me, as it is also well documented and informative.

I enjoyed reading about the way the book affected you. We could be a little wary of the personal impact of the subject of this book towards your review but you have managed to describe as well as to give us a dose of the author's feelings.

A non-fiction novel about an author's journey from faith which was later handed down to one he embraces and develops from his personal journey in life. It's an excellent read 4 readers with questions about their faith or who just want to travel with the author on his own journey.

I absolutely agree with the interview based on the sample I read. The preface and introduction were a bit long but I didn't mind reading them because the writing was engaging and sometimes I connected with the author's thoughts despite being of a different religion.
