I haven't been there yet .... I'm still trying to get my OH to put up the bookshelves for me & if he got to IKEA I'd probably end up with a garage full of unassembled bookcases to join the timber that 'some day when he has a minute' will mysteriously morph into bookshelves .... Woe is me!StephenKingman wrote:^ Yeah, but my second pressie is an IKEA locker, wonder how that will go down ha. Ever been up to the big IKEA, Fran? I was up there last month, couldnt get over the size, really could spend all day there and their cafe is the best-kept secret in Ireland-restaurant quality grub for half nothing

Sounds very nice, Washington especially has plenty of public interest buildings to see. Have you been to the Guggenheim museum in NY? I was there last year and thought it was very interesting, the layout is quite strange though.Tip the Bottle wrote:I'll be on vacation the first week of July. I'm not really going anywhere but I do plan on taking advantage of the public transpo around here and doing a bunch of art museums and just may make it to Washington DC and be all patriotic visiting monuments and such.

One of my favorite ways to spend a day or two when on holidays ... I love a leisurely ramble around an art gallery. Our own National Gallery is always on my to do list when I have a few days in Dublin.StephenKingman wrote:Sounds very nice, Washington especially has plenty of public interest buildings to see. I love to wander around any museums when im on holidays, its part of the city. Im not particularly into the deep and hidden meanings behind paintings and exhibitions (defo not an art head!) but its nice to see these places if only to cross it off your list.Fran wrote:One of my favorite ways to spend a day or two when on holidays ...
