I agree that this sounds very timely, considering today's political climate, but it's for that very reason that I won't be reading this; living it is bad enough, I don't want to read about it, too. I also hope that this book doesn't serve to further alienate those of the Muslim faith since they already have a bad name in general, even if it is unwarranted.

I don't think this will ever happen in United States. I hope Muslims will not like this book. Anyway, Good job!

I think I can imagine well enough what would happen in the case of a muslim president in the future to not have to read the book! Sounds possibly eye-opening for those who can't understand the big picture. Too bad about the sexually graphic scenes. That is a no-go for me.

Such good feedback, I have never read a book which predicts the future in reality. Let me try this one. THanks for the nice review :)

The book is POWERFUL especially for those who live in countries where they face such oppressions. it shows their is hope for them and that one day they can come out of such political bondage.

This could happen in 25 years and it sounds like a good book to read for one theory we should be aware of. I also think people that like historical fiction book should give this book a read.

I am intrigued by the this book although I do not like that the villain is Muslim. I do agree that the novel is timely considering our current President and the political climate. This book reminds me of the rule of Saddam Hussein in Iraq. Saddam was voted into power and then preceded to kill his political opponents. I think that editing would have made this book more polished, but I like different religions coming together to help their country.

OMG, your review gives me creeps! I imagine the future US with this kind of scenario while Trump is in that seat. I love your review btw. Thanks for this detailed one, I now know what to expect with the book.

I only read a preview of this book, but I found it interesting how it is both a parallel and a reverse of current situations and events. This book brings to mind the current mindset regarding to present U.S. President and his attempts to discredit those less mainstream groups. Like those focused on in the novel, the U.S. President is very unpopular as a whole (like Ahmas), and he is setting back those that do not fit into his own viewpoint. It is particularly interesting to note the contrast between Trump's view on immigration and the fact that the novel's President is Muslim. It is a very intriguing read so far and I look forward to seeing where the story goes.

A book that is so close to reality it is shocking. A book that is hard to put down. Political change that can drastically alter the whole world is portrayed. Not so unthinkable any more. It looks like a mirror image of the world as we know it now.

Great review. This sounds like a great read for fans of political suspense thrillers. I’m a huge fan of horror not that this book technically falls into that category but the description of the events in this book truly make it also a horror for me. Not sure if I can handle this read at this time but maybe in the future. Thanks so much for sharing.
