While I agree that gender identification [and sexuality] are important subjects these days, I'm just not interested in reading this book. It's also great to know how well the author did in characterizations, as you can't mess up the humanity in your characters with such an important book. I won't be reading this, but I'm glad you thoroughly enjoyed it.

Not my typical book but from what I glanced through, I can surely recommend this book to anyone who might be interested in learning more about or gaining a better understanding of what transgender issues are and is also interested in books about mental health.

From the sample, I had a feeling it was going in the direction indicated by the review. I am not sure I agree that everyone should read this book. I think it is important that people learn empathy, but that does not mean it should be normalized. I don't believe the medical community has a cure for every societal issue.

I got so hooked by the book just by reading your review. <3 I'm not really into this kind of genre but you made me change my mind. I will totally read this. also, I have read the sample in amazon and I already felt a deep sympathy for the protagonist.

I have never read a book about being transgender and this year I want to. I have been looking for the right book and thanks to your review I think I've found one. Thank you for your review

Out of all the books of the day so far since I joined the site, I think I'll actually really enjoy this one. It's a shame that there appear to be a lot of typos and errors toward the end, though. But since it doesn't appear to have changed your mind about the quality of the book, I'll have to give it a try. Thanks for your review!

My LadyBird is a beautiful story of a boy having mental and physical deficiencies. A great, critical review.

The title is wonderful. The issue of transgender is quite sensitive and I like I that the author tackles it wisely.

In Serbia people can not accept transsexuals because they still live in the past and do not realize that the world is changing.

Katiesquilts,
Nice job on the review for My Ladybird Story by Magus Tor. With all the controversy
over transgender issues, it's refreshing to see such a touching story from a young person's
point of view and the problems he faces. Kudos to the author. The more awareness made
on this issue, hopefully the more understanding people will become.

My Lady Bug Story by Magus Tor
By reading the sample of this book I believe it is very well written with an author that is very relatable on this matter. Transgender is a touchy, but growing subject in our society today.
As every one has different opinions about this matter, im not sure it's a book everyone should read, but it is very eye opening to see the hardships, judgment, and changes this group faces in our world on a day to day basis.

A very thorough review of this story on a subject that is still controversial, yet, needs to be discussed.

Your enthusiasm for the author's work shines through and makes me want to give this a read. I could have done with a bit less information of how the story progresses, but I believe that's an individual quirk of mine.

Overall, a well written and thoughtful review.

I am not really interested in trans gender issues , but I know it exists. The review is very positive and points out that this very delicate and sensitive issue has been handled with great care and if nothing else gives one at least empathy for anyone who are different in any way what so ever.
