How to: promote an On-line Short Story
I posted the link on facebook and that got me a bit of views. Does anyone know a better way, with out paying, to promote an online short story?
Also: If you would like to read it just go to the associated content website. Search: Screaming Silence. It will be the first result ini the search and it is written by: Jonathan Zayan.
If you enjoy the story, feel free to share the link with friends.

Add a link to your story on your signature for forums like this ones. These are basically ways to get anything noticed in the web. Not only are you putting lots of links were your story can get found, but you are also increasing the story's popularity in search engines.
Hope this helps.

great ideas thanks =]Gwydion wrote:This is like promoting anything on the web... it's hard work. Write a press release about your story and submit that (just search google for 'free press release') making sure you include a link to your story. Write and article about your story and submit this to article directories. Add links to your story to website directories.

Nice idea Scott and certainly would be interesting to see the talent out there, just be careful of every spammer or timewaster wanting to clog the whole thing upScott wrote:I'm thinking about coming up with a system in which I will allow users to submit original short stories and then I will compile them into small ebooks and promote and sell them. This may help independent and aspiring writers promote themselves. If it works, maybe we could come out with a new short story anthology every few months. What do you think?

I'd definitely send in some of mine stuff, I mean - if a 15 year old girl from a small town can write something as brilliant as The Outsiders. Then I think a 12 year old boy can make a half decent short story, don't you? Haha.StephenKingman wrote:Nice idea Scott and certainly would be interesting to see the talent out there, just be careful of every spammer or timewaster wanting to clog the whole thing upScott wrote:I'm thinking about coming up with a system in which I will allow users to submit original short stories and then I will compile them into small ebooks and promote and sell them. Remember the old adage "Everyone has at least one good book in them", I say condense that book and go for it! Well-crafted short stories are the way of the future.Jacob wrote:I mean - if a 15 year old girl from a small town can write something as brilliant as The Outsiders.
