First Chapter of my novel.

Post by Paulw32 »

This is the first chapter of my novel. Would just like to know if it catches the readers attention. Do you want to read more?

Nothing.

This is what existed before.

Complete, and incomprehensible. No time or space, no past present or future.

True nothing.

It either existed for an eternity, or a single instant, or both.

And then it ended.

Suddenly and without warning.

In the void, something stirred.

A wisp of movement drifted across the surface of that eternal instant. Fleeting and insubstantial that it passed by with barely a ripple in the fabric of that original and impossible reality.

Then for a time, all was still.

But what was done could not be undone.

With that first imperceptible event, the nothing, became something.

For the first time, time itself existed, and passed.
Then something stirred once more.

Born from nothing....

It became everything.

I liked it, and I don't typically like things I read on a computer (i prefer my books...lol). I'd love to read the whole story if you ever publish it in book form or online. It has a certain bit of mystery....love it!

It certainly has some nice cryptic elements to it.

This promising seedling now needs to be nurtured into a giant of a tree.

Language like this is excellent - in case you already have something solid the reader can grasp. Right now, I felt just confused.
