I'm usually sketchy when it comes to fantasy. I'm more of a "fantasy lite" reader as I find the really out there names the heavy fantasy uses confusing when they're unpronounceable and all so similar that I forget who's on which side. However, I love dragons and a good action novel. I will have to try this one!

I read the first few pages and I like the gutsy nature of the girl. I can see the chemistry that will develop between the girl and the dragon and I like it..

I too enjoy stories where the dragons are the good guys. I love dragons. In answer to your question about prophecies...it's not fantasy if there is no prophecy. I started thinking about all the fantasy novels I've read (a ton) and I'm pretty sure every single one had a prophecy. lol

Great review. I typically don't like fantasy books, but the action in the first chapter and the concept of the book has me intrigued. I will definitely give this book a chance based on the official review and what I have read so far.

Any series that portrays dragons in a positive light is great, especially when the dragons are also sentient. Reading the review and the sample has left me wanting more. It also helps that there is a strong heroine in the mix and not a damsel in distress.

I love a good fantasy novel, and including dragons makes it even better! I agree that adding in a prophecy is a bit common, but I plan on giving this one a try despite that.

this book is great I've only got through the first few chapters but i love the growing bond between Lia and Flicker, the fact the Dragon finds humans inferior is great if dragons were alive i would imagine they would perceive us to be just that.
