I am a sucker for murder mysteries. They are my comfort reads, lol. This one involving media personalities calls to me despite your warning. I'm wont to give it a try. It's always intriguing when newspeople become the news.

I hate it when they uncover the killer so early in the book. Makes reading until the end feel irrelevent.

Thank you for the review. I read the sample pages on Amazon and it sounded good. But if that is the best part, then I was glad to read your review that it goes downhill from there. I will not be reading this book.

Ughhhh! What a disappointment! This sounded good, but thank you so much for saving me the time I would have put into reading it. I'm going to pass on this one, I think. Makes me wonder about all those 5/5 reviews on Amazon. Whew! Thx again!

When it gives a good tease but ends up not at par with the excitement it sparked, I just might opt not to start it at all. But giving this still the benefit of the doubt as not all of us have the same taste. Thanks for the review!

I like murder mysteries, and it looks like an added bonus to learn more about the media industry. I look forward to reading it.

As I've always said, character development can make or break a story.
I would not pick this book up at first glance even without knowing how it dismantles itself towards the end though. Even the factor of exploring the insides of the media industry doesn't interest me since everyone knows they're sensationalists who want to further their profit, nothing much really.
Sounds like the author had the right idea in mind though.

I understand how you feel. Personally, I've come across a lot of murder mysteries or thrillers that start out amazing but end up being a disappointment. And even though I absolutely love this genre, this is why I am very picky when it comes to actually going through with reading a mystery. So I think I'll pass on this one. But great job on your review!

Murder at Broadcast park by Bill L.Evans Spoilers.

Jhon Rankin was found in the scene where Steve Jhonson was found dead and got caught up with detective Tracy asking him questions on what he saw, what happen at the place where steve jhonson was found dead .To be honest the starting of the story was very mysterious and captivating but they were to many explanations .To many details could cause the reader to lose their interest in the book they're reading. but so far so good.

John Rankin had always been the first one to arrive at the CBS news station. His job was to handle the assignment desk and switch on the lights in the studio. Everything in his life changes when he finds Steve Johnson, a popular news anchor, sitting on the news desk with a rope around his neck. A few hours later, the body of Jesse Anderson, a young intern at CBS, is found on the bed of Steve Johnson. As the investigation progresses, the police discover nothing. No murder weapon, no motive, no suspects. The victims appear to have died at the same time, in the same manner, but at two different places. The lack of evidence solidifies the fact that it was a murder, but it also poses a problem because the investigation cannot move forward without any evidence. There are a lot of questions in front of the police. What was Steve Johnson doing in the studio, late after his work hours? Why was there a rope around his neck when he clearly didn’t die by hanging? Why was the body of Jesse Anderson on his bed? And above all, how did they die? Will the police be able to solve this mystery, or will it go down as the unsolvable murder? Has someone finally committed ‘the perfect crime’?
You made a perfectly catching summary of this book. I thought it stands out from the beginning until the end. From your review, it seems rolling fast-paced from the top downhill. I'm sorry for the disappointment you are feeling when the grip subsides. Thanks for the detailed review.

It's a shame that a book with such great potential and awesome start fizzled out at the end and didn't meet up to its expectations. I can see how the author maybe wanted to follow a different format than the typical murder mystery storyline, but the execution fell flat and the intrigue of the whole point of a murder mystery is gone. Great and thorough review!

Your review has me as intrigued as the plot description did. I kind of want to read this to see if/when I experience the letdown. Is that weird? Probably, but I'll bet I get the book to see. Since I have only ever genuinely disliked one book, it is probably safe to give it a try. :D

I love it! Fast-paced and smart, Murder at Broadcast Park had me interested from the very first page. Congratulations on BOTD!

Predictability is the weakest point of a murder mystery, and this novel seemed impervious to such a flaw. For a while.

It started out interesting but a bit sketchy for me. Firstly victim was found with a rope but what was the cabuse of death? How was it determined a murder case...he could of committed suicide. Mzstuart2u☺
