The lack of character development in this murder mystery is unfortunate. If the reader doesn't care about the characters, what's the point? Hopefully the author can improve in this regard.

It is a shame that the book lost its pace, or magic, halfway through the story. If the author intended to show who the killer was before the climax, then they should have made it clear from the very beginning; I dislike when an author tries to be mysterious for a couple pages, and then blatantly tells you the big secret out of nowhere. It doesn't look like the book for me. Regardless, thank you for the review.

I think that it is a nice story. It is good to create a suspense that makes one desire to find out the end of the story.

I think, when comparing this with most thrillers I've come across, this one sounds the most interesting thus far. I think the fact that the two victims die in the same way and appear to have died at the same time (though, I think we'll ignore the realisticness of this idea) presents a mystery a lot more enticing than a lot of other thrillers. I haven't decided if I'll read this one or not, but your review definitely makes me curious!

The concept sounded so exciting that it's a shame that the characters aren't well-developed and that the excitement seems to diminish. I'll have to read it for myself to see if I feel the same way, but it's always a pity when a book starts with so much promise only to fall prey to old conventions or a writing choice that is not well-executed. I love the beginning/sample of the book yet am disappointed to read in your review that things slow down and the second half is not executed as well as it perhaps could be.
The initial premise is excellent and well-written - who doesn’t appreciate a murder in the news studio?! - so I would very much like to continue reading in order to make my own decision as to the success of the book

I'm sorry to hear that the book does not continue or end the way it starts. The beginning really grabs you and has your attention. It is fast paced and intriguing. I will give this book a chance and read it on my own, but the reviews have me questioning whether I will ultimately enjoy the book all the way through.

I was really excited until I read that there were not many clues or red herrings. Those are the best parts of crime novels. Still, a murder set in a media station sounds interesting.
