The title Everything Solid Has a Shadow by Michael Antman intrigued me because it suggested the story had a deeper meaning which you confirmed in your review. The craftsmanship of the prose sealed my desire to read the book even though I'm not usually a fan of psychological mysteries.

Hello! What a great review!! Enough information to make me interested but you certainly didn’t give the story away.

I like that you felt considerable research into dream interpretation had been done. Always important to me, and like another person mentioned, the lack of grammatical mistakes is a bonus! Thank you.

It seems there might be more to this story than I had originally thought. The character development sounds rather interesting. Your review has at least made me think over whether I will read this or not again.

This book sounds so interesting. I like the idea of psychological intrigue, so it’ll be fun to check it out.

Sometimes the difficult situations we face in life is a necessary evil. They are capable of moulding us to become better. The situation of Charlie is no exception. Thanks Michael.

I'm a huge fan of mystery novels and I enjoy psychological novels but more along the lines of when they are thrillers. For me, I don't think that this book is going to appeal to me. Thanks for the interesting review.

Normally, this type of book isn't my cup of tea, but your review's positivity about the care that went into this novel's attention to detail in grammar and writing style has made me want to check it out!

Re: Official review: Everything Solid Has a Shadow

Thanks for the review. I wouldn't had known that it was a psychological mystery novel if not for the review, although the book is not my type of novel.
The book does sound interesting, it would improve one's vocab as the main character Charlie seems an intellectual person based on the dialogue throughout the novel.
A must read for lovers of psychological mystery novel.

A story that delves into the dream interpretation theme is peculiar. I'm not so much into the psychological mystery stories, but this one sounds quite fair with each character adding flavor to the story. I'll put this one in my 'to read' list. Thanks for sharing your insights about this book.

An interesting sample, thus far, and an interesting review. I’m glad to read that there is greater depth as one progresses further into the novel. The author uses a conversational style which would not appeal to all, and often seems to provide too much detail on objects or events that would normally be seen as extraneous to the main story. The comments in your review make me wonder if more meaning will be revealed later. I am intrigued by this book and, if I can push through some of the seemingly sideways reflections, I look forward to discovering the story and depth that the author intends.

Psychological mystery is not really my cup of tea. So, I have to pass on this book.

I enjoy psychological thrillers, and it sounds like this author has a great handle on writing interesting characters and equally as interesting dialogue. Thanks for the insightful review!

A psychological thriller about two intertwined mysteries, three beautiful women, and a haunted past leads me to think this will be a homerun!
