Thanks for your review! The book sounds fast-paced and the time-traveling premise is very interesting. I'm happy that all of your questions were cleared up; that doesn't happen often in books.

This is a great review-detailed while not spoiling anything. I like how the story takes place in the future but not too far in the future. It seems like there are some loose ends though. It looks like something I may want to read. :)

:tiphat: Although I love the Terminator and Sarah Connor. I can not say I feel the same way about reading a sci-fi book. I am going to have to pass on this one. Thanks for the review.

The book sounds pretty engaging and entertaining. I like sci-fi books and I like the ones telling about time travel very much. Besides it will be interesting for me to read about how the author describes his Utopia. I know that Utopia or not people just cannot overcome their greed and desire to dominate the weaker; and this "ideal world" is not an exception as the author tells us here about the resistance movement to eliminate the oppressors. It will be really exciting to read this book.

I have to admit, the Quantum Cartographer grabbed my attention really quick and as I read, I wanted to know more about the story. The author's imagination is wonderfully embedded in the story. I think its a good read for all ages. I give it a 5.

You described what I read very well. I do not personally like time travel books but I enjoyed reading what your thoughts were and loved your questions as you read. Good Writing :)

This book by Kristen
Keenon Fisher. explain, expose, and literally indicate how time travel exists, but in a complex and captivating tale. In Nevada in 2033, former Holifax scientist Eliza
Carrefour hosts a group of uninvited guests. The
black-garbed men stand in her living room, and
their leader, the grizzled Proctor, demands to know
the whereabouts of a mysterious being named
August. He then told Eliza’s 2-year-old son, saying, “You will do great things, child. Or dare I
say...you already have.” Eliza and her son just
barely escape, heading for a mountain enclave
within the Arc Dome Wilderness. There, she meets
Reinour “Nour” Delarune, who guards and
operates a temporal wave generator—a time machine. Nour says the boy, sent through time, will
“inspire the end of wars,” and so Eliza parts with
him. He travels to the Lost Aeon, in the 20th
millennium B.C.E. The city of New Kressya
welcomes him, and there, Eliza’s son, called Nija
Masias, enters his late teens. An old soldier named Serros guides him, let me stop here and just say this about the book. It is, complex tale, were Fisher
offers a cleareyed look at superpowered rebellion. I love to see it in a movie coz it awesome...!!

Science-fiction and time-travel stories are always my best. I'll like to read the stories of despotism. Thanks for this inciteful review. I'm happy that you enjoyed the book.

This book, 'The Quantum Cartographer' is a time-travel fiction, filled with adventures. On one stormy night, Eliza Carrefour, a former scientist at the Holifax facility in New Mexico, is on the run with her two year old son whom I believe was the product of the Abeona experiment. What does the future hold in stock for them?
This book is a must read for all adventure lovers. Congratulations on #BOTD.

I love books that can appeal to me from all sorts of directions and this one seems like just one of those novels. A science-fiction, time-travel story is right up my alley, a non-stop action book keeps me reading, and one that has overarching themes relevant to humanity (the never ending struggles of humankind) really is just the cherry on top of the sundae.

loved the book sample, but wasn't sure if it would be a book of interest to me until I read this review. It makes me want to find out for myself what happens. Can't wait.

I read the sample too and were having second thoughts. I don't read books of this genre because I'm not that interested but the review intrigued me and I might give this book some time to read.

The Quantum Cartographer by Kristen Keenon Fisher

The brief, two-chapter preview of Quantum Cartographer by Kristen Keenon Fisher provided enough information to create curiosity and desire to purchase the book for completion. The first chapter set the stage for Eliza Carrefour’s two-year-old child to become a great leader/warrior to eliminate an ongoing raging war by sending him back in time. A group of strange men came to her home to find out information from her former position. This visit was not friendly and prompted Eliza to seek safety in a secret location. The second chapter introduced the characters in Kressya city. Enough information was provided to set the stage for how Eliza’s son would be introduced as a man.

I found the initial two chapters interesting and viable as an introduction to a time travel sci-fi novel. I am anxious to read further to see if the book continues with the exciting pace.
