I enjoyed reading your review. I don't think this book is a good fit for me because, thanks to your review, I know exactly what audience it would appeal to.

This review seems like you thought very highly of this book. I always loved time travel books and utopias. I think I'll like this book too. Especially with a kickass female character to lead.

I am not a fan of time travel or sci-fi so I don't think this book is for me. Unfortunately, the plot of this book also sounds pretty generic to me considering many time travel books have the main character go back in time to save humankind. Even though I'll pass on this novel, I'm glad you enjoyed it and thanks for your well-written review!

An engaging SciFi with time travel and a hint of reincarnation. This is the book to get! Great job on the review @kislany.

I don't know how it happened, but I really felt like I was in your head while reading your review. Just as I finished thinking that it sounds Terminator-ish, you mentioned Sarah Connor and then when I was thinking that I love stories that take place back in time but have future technology - like the Star Wars series, for instance ("A long time ago") - you question that fact; how funny!

Great review, over all. I'm fully convinced and will be getting this one.

When I was reading your brief rundown of the story, the plot made me think of Sarah Connor in the Terminator right away too. The book certainly does sound as exciting! I love reading time travel stories as well, though they don't always work for me. Crossing my fingers that this one will.

From the sample read and this detailed review, I can safely conclude this book will make an exciting read. It is fast-paced, well written, interesting characters and a very deep plot. And it's all about Nija and fulfilling of his destiny. I salute the author. Thanks again for this review.

I like books about time travel. Traveling to the past to solve the future's problems. I wish I could do that. It sounds fascinating.

The Quantum Cartographer

Upon reading a sample of The Quantum Cartographer I was immediately captured by the mysterious men confronting and intimidating a former scientist and her young son. Their perilous escape engaged me with feeling of suspense and panic. I am not generally a reader who seeks out science fiction novels, just normally not my field of interest, but this author has managed to grip a reader right from page one.

Based on the sample of The Quantum Cartographer, I believe any science fiction reader would jump right into the suspense and action of the protagonist and what lays ahead for a small boy of 2, whose mother was forced to relinquish him to the unknown time machine travel.

Your review has sold me even more to read the entire book. Time travel is always a tricky thing and it seems that the author has done a good job of creating a world in which time travel is possible.

I'm not a huge fan of time-travel novels; like you stated in the review, I usually find them more confusing than anything, and it takes me awhile to get into the story. I think I'll pass on this one, but thanks for the insightful review!

Thanks for the review. One of the things I liked about the sample as the book of the day was the tense of the writing. Rather than using the past tense, the way it is written makes it feel as if the action is happening right in front of you, like you are along for the ride with Eliza in the chase scene, and then with Nija as he listens to Serros wax poetically about Kressya.

I really really love time travel stories, and when my science teacher told me that time travel wasn´t possible (at least not in the way that books and movies show time travel) I got so sad, haha. The story for this book sounds a little confusing, but I think it´s one of those things where you just have to read it. Honestly, right now (apart from the time travelling of course) I just want to read it because of the character, Nija.

I love Sci-Fi/Fantasy genre so would have read this book just for that sake. Fortunately reviews also turn this out quite appealing.
