I think this book has the potential to be interesting or boring based on the quality of writing. I’m glad to hear you had such a good experience with it, though! I’ll have to check it out and see if it’s worth reading. Thanks for writing a review.

I looked at the cover and thought a book about fishing ..... I am not a fisherman and I don't like hunting. I read a few pages and I read the review. I was really surprised. It seems you can tell your story about your life and make it really interesting.

As a commercial fisherman, I can very much relate to Jack Walsh's Book. The review nailed my viewpoint. Thank you!

A lifetime of fishing looks interesting. By the end is that third chapter, my attention started angering but came back once he rambled back to fishing. Admittedly, I fully expected chapter one to end with him falling off the Queen into the water.

this book reminds me of good old days when i tried fishing and the things i've learned from it so i'm grabbing a copy. it helps that it was mentioned how it's more like an adventure despite being a nonfiction. good job on the review!

This definitely sounds like the author has lead an amazing and adventurous life and nor only at sea. Great review.

:techie-studyingbrown: So, like many others, you either like memoirs or not. It just so happens that is one of my favorite genres. I had some adventures with fishing of my own when I was younger but mostly it was a time for me to enjoy the scenery and the thrill of the catch. I am going to look into this book. Thanks for your review. Well done!

A nice review showing how the author begun to love fishing at a tender age and finally it went all the way to be his occupation. Seems a good story but not very intriguing for me. Just my opinion though.

A true-life story about the adventures of a fisherman. I'm impressed that he was able to put all his exciting experiences in a book. Thanks for your review. It's straightforward and easy to read.

Jack Walsh's story seems to be written in a realistic yet humorous style. A long time ago I read and wrote about Joseph Conrad. The fascination with the sea and fishing and life on board a ship in this book pleasantly reminded me of Joseph Conrad. Thank you for your review!

Jack sounds like quite a character - and before this I'd never even heard of sea diamonds! Very intrigued!

I love this review, as it shows exactly how jack was able to relate his passion for sealife into a career.
