The Sound of Music is good in both formats.
My favorite film musical is Kiss Me Kate!

I'd love to watch Wicked and Les Miserables or Miss Saigon.
As for movie musicals i am also into it. I can't remember how many times i have watched musicals like hairspray, lovestruck, les miserables and others.

My favorite musical I saw on Broadway was Spamalot! Amazing show based on Monty pythons and the holy grail.
The most exciting musical I saw was Hairspray, we happened to get seats on the base level and the actors walked and danced by us through the isles. We also met a girl who had played Tracy at the restaurant we decided to have lunch at.
New York is amazing!
I hated Chicago on stage, but the movie is amazing.

Wicked was amazing!! The music just freezes you in place while the story makes you want to join the cause and also sing your heart out!

I love both of those! Sondheim is my favorite lyricist—ever see Into the Woods? So so good.DustinPBrown wrote: ↑16 Feb 2018, 04:24 I like musicals when they're more artistic. Think Moulin Rouge or Sweeny Todd. I'm not a fan of musicals where the music is more pop-influenced.

Into the Woods and Les Miz are my favorites! I'm going to my fifth showing of LM this summer. So excited!
