Although by reading this review it spoiled it for me, since I read a sample, the interesting points you made about the book, still make me want to read it. However I think you shoudn't have said anything about the plot and retelling it. Should have been more objective.

Based on the title and cover, I would have never considered picking this book up. Your review plus the sample surprised me by revealing that a book like this could contain both humor and nuggets of wisdom. Thanks for the great review!

I love a good funny horror flick in the same vein as "Scary Movie" or "Shaun of the Dead". Although I'm often discouraged for books geared towards younger audiences, this one sounds like it could be fun.

The one thing I really like about this book after reading the sample is that the author really seems to have a grasp on the character of certain high schoolers. It's great to see that the humor is carried throughout. After reading your review I look forward to reading the rest of the story.

An ordinary night of studying goes wrong when the group gets tangles in a plot to summon a demon. I look forward to the group's adventure as well as the humor injected into the story.

Glad you found something humorous in this story. At first glance I was thinking it would be horrible. I can certainly appreciate the nuggets of wisdom such as the one you shared in the review. I don't really have any interest in reading about demons and evil, but at least the author took the time to share good things in the midst of it.

:techie-studyingbrown: I read the sample passage it wasn’t to my liking I do however like the humor. The reason behind the dislike for the teacher wasn’t as clear. I would say giving more detail to the reason for dislike was needed.

a humorous horror story that caught my attention for the high school students who take things for granted like boring classes and bullying what a unique interesting and enjoyable horror thumbs up to the author i give it a 4 star

JRRR always has silly fun books, and as soon as I got to the description about the bands name changing constantly I knew this would be just as silly as the others. :) Congrats on BOTD!

This is an exceptional review, very informative. Its a breath of fresh air to know a writer has taken the time to plan details of the story. Most comedic writers spend more time trying to build and lay in the comedy with little to no thought to the actual plot or supporting aspects.

Thanks for your review! A book about demons, possessions and a humoristic touch sounds interesting. It is great to know that an author has been able to make such combination. I am sure I am going to enjoy this reading.

I've also read a few pages of the author's other book, Fish Wielder. In both books, he seems to have assumed the task of parodying a specific genre. This is by no means an easy task and I can see that he does it in style. Thank you for your review!

I read the free sample and I'm hooked. I don't read much in the way of demon books, but I love humor. I definitely need to finish this book.

Thanks for a great review. Demons and horror aren't usually my thing, but I enjoy humor, especially well-written and your review makes me want to read this one. I would hope that the advanced vocabulary would encourage young readers to learn new words.

Thanks for your review! I've heard good things about this author so I'm not surprised to hear that this book is good as well. I like how the novel is a satirical take on the horror genre.
