Demon Freaks seems interesting but not enough for me to hunt it out to read it. The preview makes it seems like enjoyable popcorn for the brain, fun to read but require little thinking.

The twins try to seperate themselves as individuals but still have same interests. Throw in the meat head (pun intended) and a girl, a dick of a history teacher, some demons, etc. and you have this book b

What an unexpected combination, Humor and Demons! The plot sounds quite interesting. I'm intrigued to know if these poor teens could pass their SATs one way or another, and how they could manage get rid of that dangerous dagger. Thanks for this enlightening review!

As a teacher, I thought how much my older students would love this book! The violence is clearly in a fictional setting. I was just really impressed with how realistic the teen characters were, from their thoughts and behaviors to their speech. I will definitely be reading the rest of this book. I have a hard copy of this book on my shelf, and it makes me laugh every time I see it. It's not going to be for everyone, might be a little too silly for some, but if you enjoy quirky books you should check it out!

First glance at the title seemed to indicate a slant toward the tongue-in-cheek, so good to know for sure and I shall try the sample. The review was very descriptive and well written, but I do feel that Paragraph Three could have been deleted. It reveals more than I want to read in a review - not a spoiler but aspects of the plot that need to be discovered and considered in context.

Congrats on #Botd. Its Exciting and fun and have a sense of humor so i liked it very much. And I find it interesting that the twins were supposed to be studying for their SAT Test. Instead they are fighting for their lives. I love this book by J.R.R.R. (Jim) Hardison. Thank you for the recommendation.

This sounds like a great book for people who enjoy this genre. I don't like books with these themes but it sounds like a great read for young adults.

I tend to be more geared towards apocalyptic or dystopian settings for young adult fiction rather than the humorous stories. Since I am always looking to branch out I may have to give this one a try. I feel juvenile saying I was hoping for more from this book's sample, but it's true. Where were the cool, rugged characters from Fish Wielder? I suppose kudos to the author for being so versatile, I just had a hard time connecting with teenage boy main characters. Le sigh.

I love horror stories. When browsing for a good horror book I often go to the well-known authors (Steven King, Dean Koontz, Anne Rice) first. However, my decision on a certain book from authors that I don't know are based on book cover, title and summary. When I first saw this book cover and the title, I immediately thought that this would be a book suited for young teens and was not interested in reading. I'm glad that I got past that and started reading a few pages of the book. I was surprised to find myself more and more interested in the story as I continued reading. Something about the way the author described the characters and hinted at the darker secrets waiting to be discovered in the teacher, Mr. Brom made me want to read the entire book.

In addition to that, your review, sealed the deal. I love the way you describe the authors intention of combining horror and humor which made it easy to read. I am looking forward to reading this book completely.
