The title of this looks like some kind of fantasy novel, but it's actually a humorous murder type of book. I enjoyed reading the review, not what I expected.

I thought the story was going to be ridiculous but because of the wonderful concept which includes literary, i enjoyed reading the book specially when it goes to a humorous act. I really like the story and thanks for the review.

I will check this out. It sounds like a Rick Riordan novel which is actually kind of neat.

The blurb for this book already made me laugh, and I'm super excited to see how the author is going to balance horror and humor! Congrats to the author on BOTD and I also noticed how the author wrote his name as J.R.R.R. (jim) Hardison, which immediately made me laugh. The book cover is really good.i even thought how much my older students would love this book! The violence is clearly in a fictional setting. I was just really impressed with how realistic the teen characters were, from their thoughts and behaviors to their speech. I will definitely be reading the rest of this book. Its a lovely book even I don't like this type of genre 😌

I have already read a sample of the book, and even though I agree with your review that the author uses humour even when we get the sense of some impending horror (no truly horrific incidents has not yet taken place), and even though I myself am a great fan of the 'horror' genre, the story itself did not strike a note with me. However two specific parts you mentioned in your review interest me, the back story of the demons and the supposedly funny conversation of Meat with the dagger's voice in his head.

The truth that the author is able too miss up humor and spice it up with fear is nice....but the fact is that the text is not a big time horror text with the gory picture and all that....as noted in the cover painting. However amazing work by j.r.r.r which is quiet a funny name and will attract any readers too read.

I really appreciate it. At first I thought that it's like a regular boredom one. But the writer noticed the turning point of the story "their history teacher find them in cabin..." Its attract the readers to continue the reading. The after words are very clearly prove that undoubtedly "Doman Freaks" is a amazing humor and action story. In simply says it's impress me in words of how the story is unfold by Author J.R.R.R(Jim) Hardison.

Demon Freaks by J.R.R.R (Jim) Hardison

I read the sample on amazon. I thought the description of the teacher and students Bing, Ron, and Meat were very descriptive. It gave a clear picture of who these boys and teacher are. It described how different Bing and Ron are but yet similar. I thought it was funny when meat fell back in his chair and the teacher brought him and Bing to the front of the room. I am interested in reading this whole book.

I rather enjoy your review. Pointing out the wisdom in a book is great. I only read the sample, so I obviously have not the same level of insight that you do. As such, I might not have thought about giving the book a chance. But, sometimes books geared towards teens can be over the top. I have read books for younger children that seemed to me for older age groups.

But, I might give it a more a chance. Thanks

Well, you’ve made me intrigued. I can’t say that my initial thought is that I would want to read a horror book, but from your review it seems that this is more humor. If it’s handled well and isn’t excessively silly, I might give it a shot.

I read the sample before reading your review, and I have to say, I'm kind of excited to see where the story goes. I'm not turned off by gore, but I am a little turned off by this being a young adult book. I think I might give it more of a chance, though. Nice review!
