This book is a must read for me after reading your review. I enjoy J.R.R.R. (Jim) Hardison's style of writing, mostly the humor he employs in his style of writing. I look forward to finding out how these four young teenagers handle the situation at the cabin.

Great review. I read the sample and had a giggle. Then I read the review and had to laugh. I look forward to reading this one as it has humor mixed in with the demons. So far it has been enjoyable.

Thank you for your review. I just recently finished another book by this author, and really enjoyed it. This sounds like it would be a good one too.

I really enjoyed that the sample chapter started the book in the middle of a school day && class. Instead of starting at the beginning of the day with a main character (bing && ron) starting their day with how they woke up && what they had for breakfast && so on. A little into the chapter it got to talking more of the main characters so that was cool. I also love the great detail the author goes into when describing, such as mutant twins && Mr. Broms hair and facial mannerisms. I think this book is going to be great.

Yes! This book totally rocked! It was as if Vampire Diaries and The Muppets met up with Lord of the Ring and so much original slant and, of course, content! The deliciously wicked sense of humor had me laughing out loud throughout the book. I recommended it to so many of my readerly friend, including the ones (like me) who don't normally bend toward paranormal genres - I promise it's worth the risk!

After reading your review, I'm much more interested in reading this book. Your enthusiasm for it is really apparent. I like that this book has humor in it, even though it's a horror book. I do feel like many teens will enjoy this one. Thanks for your review. It was very informative.

Sounds like fun, but yeah... probably belongs more in the YA than in children's categories.

Demon Freaks by J.R.R.R. (Jim) Hardison
Thanks to the above named person.
I really read and enjoyed the book.
I do remember in your edition that there's a lot of language styles (humor, rhetorical questions ) and many other things to draw the attention of the readers.

I think I need to give this book more of a chance. I wasn't completely sold on it after reading a sample. I'm not usually into demon type books.

This book sounds great! I haven't heard of the title or author before, but your review makes it sounds very promising. As a lover of all things fantasy (especially the Lord of the Rings, so you sold me with that connection!) and anything that can make me laugh, this book sounds right up my alley. I will definitely be looking to read this in the future. Thank you!

This book sounds great. I'm glad to hear that the author actually put some effort into creating this book; I love humor in books but when it's supposed to be even a bit serious (as opposed to a straight-up parody), I need it to have a bit of meat on it to stay engaged. Thanks for the thorough and insightful review.

Never had read a book that mixes gore and humor quite flawlessly except ones in movies but that don't count. I'd love to read this book and see how funny is the 4 members band survived the day. Thanks for the review.

Based on the review this is definitely a book I would read! That being said I wonder if the reviewer reread their review before posting it because one of their sentences makes little sense. Also I feel the reviewer is very sheltered. Today’s teen won’t mind gore, especially if they’re reading a book with “demon” in the title.

A cool story of some high school freinds battling some paranormal forces. The friendship is tested in an extraordinary way.
