a story that will take us in a rollercoaster ride w/ an unexpected climax is totally exciting. not to mention Shane's character that will surely get me thinking. good job on the review!

Thank you for your interesting review of this book. I am an avid fan of mystery novels, and I am looking forward to reading about the procedural ways that the police take to solve a case.

Although I’m not a big fan of mysteries, this book seems like a good book that has a relatable character and a realistic case. Thank you for your review.

If a detective story is bland and not exciting enough, I don't think it's worth the read. I do like that a lot of these books on OnlineBookClub have female main characters in a kick ass role.

I love mysteries especially ones that the author has knowledge of police procedure. What Happened to Flynn delves into the different departments and the hierarchy of those departments. This intrigues me and I can't wait to read.

Is "fishing" a code word for "sleeping with the fishes"? A different kind of detective novel that challenges more than just the usual issues and suspects.

Thanks for the comprehensive review! I think the slow beginning and grammatical errors would put me off from reading this, even though they're minor faults. Hopefully, this author continues writing mystery novels that tackle topics like sexism and misogyny effectively.

Flynn disappears and Detective Shane trying to solve the mystery. But, between murderers, money launderers, and thieves, the case proves to be difficult to solve. Sounds exciting! It's great to hear that the characters worked well here, relevant themes of racism and sexism are explored, and that you found this to be an "intelligently drawn-out story"! Too bad about the errors here and the story lost its focus toward the middle. This doesn't sound like the book's for me since these things would bother me, but I'm glad that you were able to enjoy this mystery regardless! Thank you for sharing your thoughts!

Sounds like a good mystery with a strong female as the main character. It’s unfortunate that it starts off slow. Thanks for the review!

Thanks for the informative review! I'm not really up for reading a detective story at the moment. The long wait to finally find the answer does not sound appealing.

Thank you for your honest review. One line: "Also, somewhere in between, we begin to believe that the case has wavered from its main purpose, i.e., finding Flynn." This is exactly the feeling I had from reading the description of the book on Smashwords, and also your review up until you made that statement. I don't think the book sounds interesting enough to read — thank you for helping me make that decision with your thorough, unbiased review.

I like that this mystery also focuses on important themes that our relevant to our current political and economical climates. Further, the main character seems really unique and engaging. I’ll have to check this one out!

The book sounds intriguing. I like the fact that the main character looks beyond her prejudice to see the good in others and I also like the themes explored in this book. I'm going to have to look into it.
