Very excited that this book has been chosen as #BOTD as I've read your review before. Waiting for me is the suspense you've mentioned and the cliffhanger ending... I also look forward to the different narrators, switching from third to first. Well done on your review!

Thank you for your review. This sounds like an interesting book that ends with a cliff-hanger. I am curious about all the losses he suffered as a child, too. Might be interesting reading.

I like how you've described the protagonist and his battle with PTSD. It's intriguing how he could overcome that and save the planet. Thanks to your review I can't wait to read the book !

I have really noticed a good trend in sci-fi and dystopian novels to focus on environmental disasters instead of other alternatives and I like it, it can take the form of so many different things! This book looks really good and I'll gladly check it out.

William sounds like the best sort of character, with flaws and failings struggling to overcome. Great review

A truly suspenseful story that involves a geological disaster and a character that has suffered his fall relatively early in the story and can only be built up from there. Thank you Mr. Eichholz for a great story.

The plot of this book doesn't really interested me but I could see the elements of suspense right from the first chapter. The opening scene was very well-written; I was on the edge of my seat wondering if it would all work out. I really like the way the author describes the setting and events. He seems like a great writer, I just don't care for the story line and will be passing.

"This is certainly the end of the beginning for me!" I do not care for snippets within the content of the story, etc., as well as a few spoiler alerts inside this review. And, because I'm not such a sci-fi book lover, on a day like today, I would rather, pop some popcorn, sit back, relax and watch the movie instead; whereas, I pass on this science fiction fantasy with no rating to report. Best wishes to the author on the #BOTD 👾

The book's description didn't initially interest me, but your review gave a fuller picture of William's character and made me a little more intrigued. Lack of closure is frustrating though, I'll probably check to see if there's a sequel or one in the works before I try this. Thanks for the review!

I enjoy a good sci-fi novel especially when there is suspense involved. However I generally a don't enjoy books with cliffhangers. With that said I also have my own thoughts and ideas on the down fall of the environment and the damage caused to the planet. I'm looking forward to reading this book, thanks for the eye catching review.

This is a book I would like to sample. I like that instead of the usual wizards and UFOs, it tactfully presents the issue of climate change, which is slowly creeping in on our world.

A war hero suffering from PTSD and trying to stop environmental terrorists. This sounds great, but cliffhangers really bother me, so I think I’ll wait and see if a sequel is planned.
