It's a fantastic review. Your review gave the clear picture of the author's viewpoint and how the book portrays's the gender inequality of the 50's and the effects on family relations. Seems to be interesting. I'm going to give a try soon. Thanks for the review.

This sounds like an amazing book. I'm going to have to read this and find out what happens. I love books like this that show the struggle some people have to deal with when their different. Thanks for this great review.

A well-edited book with interesting characters. A great coming-of-age story.

Thanks for the great review.

I love the overview of the book. It was very easy for to decide whether or not I would like to read it for myself. I appreciate reviews that help me to decide so I don't waste my time reading something not interesting to me. Well thought out, some of the sentence structure caused me to re-read a bit but I got the point you were making. Overall, great review.

I love that the review has captured the essentials in The Skye in June without giving too much away. Catholicism and supernatural phenomenon are taboo topics, and I'm interested to see if they are pitted against one another, if some form of further understanding and acceptance is gained, or if the Catholic faith is demoralized. It sounds like I'm in for a treat.

When I read the original description, I was completely put off by the book. Your review, however, brought to light many aspects I did not foresee from the original overview. You did a fantastic job.

Thanks for your review. I did download a copy of the book but have not started reading. I was interested in reading this book based on the review written on Amazon. I love a story of someone not settling for the norm, living life their way and not caring what the majority thinks. June seems like my type of girl. Your review gave great insight into what the story is about, the characters and relationships in the book. I look forward to reading this one.

Thanks for writing up this review! It gave me some insight to The Skye in June and it seems as if this book is filled with many intricate details. It also seems as if it's written true to the time period it portrays which is awesome!

After reading the information on Amazon, when I went to download. I was thinking I might like the story, now based on your review, I believe I will indeed like the book. Sounds like there are lessons to be learned along the way and that even in the same family there can be such differing points of view. Thank you for the great review!!!

It is good to see that feisty little June has a very protective mother by her side, to fend off her abusive father. I will definitely read this interesting book in the future. Thank you for your detailed review.

Sounds like a great book but I am not very keen on telepathy so I'll have to pass. I read the Chrysalids John Wyndham in high school and I think I had enough of the telepathic world with that book. Great review! It was quite detailed.

I would like to see how June goes against all the odds an how she is able to live in such an intolerant society.

This sounds like an interesting story, but a bit cliche in nature. Sometimes you can't tell until you read the book, so it's nice to get a sample copy. I look forward to reading it.
